Gripshift, from Sidhe Interactive, is a stunt racing-puzzle game, of sorts, featuring platforming mechanics combined with raw speed. It's joined by Arkadian Warriors, a hack and slash adventure from the team created last year's well received XBLA hit Assault Heroes. It's gimmick is that you and your co-op buddies can choose from one of three classes, each with it's own spirit animal. Both will hit this Wednesday, extremely early in the morning, for 800 Microsoft Points. Details on both are available at Xbox.com.

<![CDATA[Rally Cross, GT HD 1.1 Hit PlayStation Store]]>

Some new and new old and old new updates have been posted to the PlayStation Store recently, including Rally Cross for the PSP, which weighs in at a healthy 105MB. The PSone racer is priced at $5.99 and will surely be playable on the PS3 any day now.

On the free side of things, Sony has both the Genji Days of the Blade costume pack ready to take up hard drive space, as well as an update to Gran Turismo HD Concept. So what's new about the latter? The PlayStation Underground just sent us this notice:

Our records indicate that you downloaded Gran Turismo HD Concept from the PLAYSTATION(R)Store. Version 1.1 is now available for download, which refines the gameplay experience in Time Trial mode and the accuracy of lap times within the online rankings. Since online ranking results recorded by version 1.1 players will be given priority, it is highly recommended that you download and install it if you are playing the earlier version. Please note that version 1.1 is compatible with existing game save data, allowing you to race your previously unlocked cars.

We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused and hope you enjoy Gran Turismo HD Concept.

Consider your apology accepted! Bored downloaders can also grab trailers for 300, Fred Claus and the PS3 game GripShift. Yay!

<![CDATA[GripShift, Jumping Flash Hit PlayStation Store]]>

Some new additions made their way to the PlayStation Store today, including two new games in the form of Sony Online Entertainment's platformer/racer GripShift and the classic PSone title Jumping Flash. The former will set back stunt racing fans a meager $9.99 while the latter follows typical PSone for PSP pricing at $5.99.

In addition to these two games, trailers for highbrow flicks Blood Diamond and The Good German are also available for download.

I'm in the middle of the GripShift download now and will hopefully have some quick impressions up tomorrow afternoon. Let's hope I can expense this one!

<![CDATA[GripShift Coming To PlayStation 3]]> One more downloadable title is coming to the PlayStation Network and it's coming soon. This time it's a port of the PSP racer GripShift, the puzzler-platformer-racer mash up from Sony and Sidhe Interactive.

IGN has first shots and details of the game, which they say is "right around the corner" and dated for some time in 2006, and will only set you back $9.99 for 720p, 60 frames per second, 125 levels and 25 tracks. It may not be the graphical showcase of, say, Metal Gear Solid 4, but that's not a lot of dollars for a lot of content.

Now how about some retail releases, Sony?
