Embed code still works, though.

As you can see, the band's rocking out to "American Idiot" with note highways, band shots, the works. And then as if to drive home the point, the title card Green Day: Rock Band slams over it at the end. Sounds rather definite to me. I guess we shall know if this is for-sure real or not in about 90 minutes, right?

<![CDATA[Rock Band Next Week: Green Day And Mayhem Music]]> Green Day finally makes an appearance on the Rock Band Music Store next week, along with a selection of tracks from RockStar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival artists, including Marilyn Manson and Slayer.

American rock trio Green Day finally make their Rock Band debut, though not in the form many fans would prefer. Rather than deliver the classic songs we know and love, the first triple set of Green Day music all comes from their latest album, 21st Century Breakdown. "21 Guns", "Know Your Enemy" and "East Jesus Nowhere," are all fine tracks, but they don't seem near as fun to play as songs like "Longview" and "When I Come Around". I guess it's a start.

Arriving alongside Green Day are eight songs performed by artists participating in the RockStar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival. Behemoth, Black Dahlia Murder, Cannibal Corpse, God Forbid, Job for a Cowboy, Marilyn Manson, Slayer, and Whitechapel each deliver one song to help promote angry music and energy drinks. Check out the list below to see who is bringing what.

Next Week's Tracks:

Green Day "21 Guns"
Green Day "East Jesus Nowhere"
Green Day "Know Your Enemy"
Behemoth "Conquer All"
Black Dahlia Murder "What a Horrible Night to Have a Curse"
Cannibal Corpse "Hammer Smashed Face"
God Forbid "Empire of the Gun"
Job for a Cowboy "Embedded"
Marilyn Manson "Disposable Teens"
Slayer "Black Magic"
Whitechapel "This Is Exile"

<![CDATA[Green Day Officially, Exclusively Comes To Rock Band]]> Punk rock trio Green Day is bringing its catalog of music to MTV Games and Harmonix's Rock Band, confirming the news dropped by the band itself earlier this week.

While details about just how much of the band's back catalog are still to be revealed, the partnership will kick off on July 7th with three downloadable tracks from the bands new album are made available for Rock Band and Rock Band 2. The three tracks from 21st Century Breakdown include "21 Guns," "Know Your Enemy," and "East Jesus Nowhere."

While maybe not "a whole Green Day Rock Band" as singer/guitarist Billie Joe Armstrong hinted at during a radio interview this week, MTV Games notes that "additional Green Day songs and projects will be announced at a later date."

Any requests? Besides the obvious option of being able to play "Longview" in LEGO Rock Band, that is.

<![CDATA[Green Day Coming To Rock Band]]> During Kevin and Bean's Breakfast with Green Day this morning on KROQ 106.7 FM, the band confirmed that they'll be doing something involving Rock Band in the near-ish future.

When an audience member asked them when their songs would be appearing in Rock Band, lead singer Billy Joe had the following to say: "Uh yeah, we're doing a whole Green Day Rock Band...uh." Uh? Is that a track pack, or a full game add-on? We've contacted Harmonix for more information, but until then all we have is "uh", along with this stunning revelation of the release date for "uh":

I'm not sure...soon. Like I think not this week, but this year soon...by the end of this year.

This of course leads us to the obvious question: how has Rock Band gotten away without having Green Day for this long?
