Druckmann's novel is called "A Second Chance at Sarah," and it chronicles a man's journey back in time to stop his wife from selling her soul, and to save her life in the future. Its lead character, Johnny, must sell his own for the chance to save his love. "Instantly, he's a teenager again, a child of the 90s, and now he must relive a day from his youth." That day is his only opportunity to save Sarah, but as he learns her secret past, he begins wondering if he can, or even should.

Acclaimed digital artist Joysuke Wong supplies the art for this graphic novel, published by Ape Entertainment. It's already getting a positive reception, from sites such as Ain't It Cool News and IndyComicReview.com.

The book is 94 pages and will sell for $12.95. You may see a preview of it at the link.

<![CDATA[More Info For The Discriminate Comic Book Guy: Halo Comic Scans]]>

If you aren't, perhaps, entirely convinced you want to spend the bread on the Halo graphic novel by Marvel Comics, you can go over to comic book site Bam! Kapow! to check out some scans from the likes of Moebius, Phil Hale, Ed Lee, Tsutomo Nihei, Jay Faerber, Andrew Robinson, Simon Bisley and Lee Hammock.

To me, it all looks fairly pedestrian and uninteresting. See the image accompanying this post? It looks like the Master Chief has been hastily scrawled into another image via the magic of Mario Paint. Still, everyone knows that the real strength of sequentialized post-modern comics with non-linear movement is the writing, right?

<![CDATA[Halo Graphic Novel Preview At Marvel.com]]> Over at the Marvel site, you can check out what the Master Chief will be up to when translated into a two-dimensional cartoon character in the upcoming Halo graphic novel.

The [Graphic Novel]'s main storyline and three additional stories are the work of some of the comic industry's most brilliant artists and writers including Moebius, Phil Hale, Ed Lee, Tsutomo Nihei, Jay Faerber, Andrew Robinson, Simon Bisley and Lee Hammock.

The graphic novel itself will be an anthology of original stories in the Halo universe. It'll be interesting to see what they incorporate from Eric S. Nylund's Halo novels: I'm ashamed to admit to having actually read a book based on a video game, let alone dug them, but Nylund's books are seriously top-notch disposable reading.

<![CDATA[Halo Graphic Novel Sneak Peek]]>

TeamXbox just posted some scans from the upcoming Halo graphic novel.

The Halo Graphic Novel is an anthology of original stories set in the Halo universe representing an unprecedented display of visual storytelling. Building on the success of the critically acclaimed Halo: Combat Evolved and Halo 2 video games, the graphic novel will feature the series' iconic characters, weapons and scenarios and the epic struggle against the alien threats known as the Covenant and the Flood.

I usually drool over Moebius' stuff, but it's kinda lackluster here. Dig that crazy Simon Bisley, though!
