    John Riccitiello gave a nice interview on MSNBC just now noting the video game price wars this season among other topics. These deep discounts are a bit troubling seeing how the country needs to spend spend spend to get out of this recession, but companies everywhere are killing their profit margins looking to attract consumers... leaving less money to budget for employees and the like. :/

    Why are these limited by console? Why is Dragon Age just on sale for the PS3, or Lego Rock Band just for the Wii?

    I'd prefer if the price drops were uniform across all of the platforms. In those two examples, I don't own a PS3 and my Rock Band setup is for the 360, so my interest drops from "some" to "zero." It seems like they're limiting the effectiveness of the promotion this way.

    That said, it looks like it could be intentional - maybe they're limiting platforms on titles that they expect to sell better on one system than another? Batman's a good indication of that; I know I'd get the PS3 version if I had a choice between the two because of the extra content.

    @Vecha: One more Month: depends. i bought guitar hero 3 for 360 for 10 bucks. it was still 35 for ps3.

    i've also seen ps3 SKU's of rock band/guitar hero go on sale while the 360 versions stayed the same.

    @sweenish:

    Hmm...then never mind.

    I wonder if they did the price drop for the ps3 versions because those usually sell less?

    @vid3oman64: Truthfully, I'm glad it sold well cause I'm tired of commenters coming in waggling their tongues about the Wii being overrated.

    I say try it before you disc it.

    FWIW, Overstock/Bing/Mastercard has the Wii console for [effectively] $150 right now, shipped ($30 cashback, $20 Overstock GC).

    True, an Overstock GC isn't nearly as nice as a Walmart GC, but Overstock doesn't charge sales tax.
