They should just sod off. People are losing jobs, yet who does Gamestop take the most advantage of? Impoverished consumers. I will never again enter a Gamestop. I would rather pay an inflated price at other retailers than ever give them a penny again, even if it saved me 50%.

I have a brilliant idea! Lets take something poor people have, give them a small amount of cash for it, then sell them back the same games for a huge markup. Since the majority of people are poor, our target market is almost everyone. We'll make billions!

@narq: WTF? its not like people can't sell on ebay or craigslist etc. Nobody is forcing people to use gamestop. If their used price is too far below market then they will stop getting games. Supply and demand here - I'm not sure why there is so much gamestop hating from people here. (and no I do not work at gamestop, and rarely shop there - I just don't understand the hate).

@MysteryMachine: I'm just confused why people ever sell their games at all, let alone to Gamestop where they'll get something like $10 for them. I go back and play old games all the time, even ones that aren't very good. Why would you get rid of multiple games to get another game? Doesn't that mean you already own several times the entertainment value you'll end up with?

I know they got a lot of my post holiday dollar. They were doing a 'buy2, get 1' on used games, which is almost an open invitation to bust open the wallet.

The crazy part is that most stores who did well this season did it by slashing prices, but I don't think that was the case with Gamestop.
