For all those wondering how this game is, it is very much like a 3D maple story.
I played the EU version until about level 52 then stopped. If your idea of fun is running the same dungeon (with 4 rooms) forever then this is the game for you. The best place to level from 40-55 is one dungeon. If you have a good group it takes maybe 3 or 4 minutes to clear it. You have to run it something like 22 hours @3min a run to level from 52 to 53.
It is a fun distraction but most players will probably leave around their 20s as that's when the grind really starts to pick up.
To be fair, RO was 2d characters in a 3D world. This is more like 3D characters in a 2.5D world, akin to Maple Story more than Ragnarok. That being said, it's still pretty fun and you may catch me playing this week :)
Pre-ordered on Steam a few days ago, and just finished installing it now. The demo was literally the most fun I've had in a game in 2009. Absolutely worth $30 for me.
I'd bite, if i wasn't holding out for the slim hope that it might come to XBLA as well at some point in the future. I must say, all the videos of Trine have looked fantastic. Shame about the price on Steam.
Why is there not a XBLA version?!! These people have clearly shown they like money so what gives? It's not like Sony's paying them to make it a PS3-PC exclusive :(
@okenny :) ...building bridges (to hide under): Aw come on, XBLA is getting plenty of great downloadable games exclusive to their console this summer. Let the PS3 owners have something to call their own.
@Everard: I'll gladly give up hallmarks like Bomberman Act Zero (a game so good, it got a full retail release) and perhaps the holy grail called Yaris. You don't want crappy games like Monkey Island and the likes! >_>
Have they fixed it for D-Link routers? I've had it crash two separate D-Link routers, and on the beta forums, I asked people with similar problems what router they used and it was always D-Link as well.
The worst part is that it didn't use to do this. There was an update a while back that did something that ended up killing those routers, forcing them to be restarted.

Oh well, it was fun while it lasted.

Oh, right. It's so they have a thinly-veiled excuse to shove advertisements down your throat.
Fuck you, EA.
