@Cue2: No one can explain Noby Noby Boy. I've played it and I still don't really understand what's going on. I mean, I stretch till I break, I take people for a ride, I eat my own arse, but still...I can't...It's like...It's...No...I can't.
Anyone with half a brain could tell that all iPhone developers are doing is going to addictinggames and porting flash games to the iPhone. Field runners is a complete carbon copy of about fifty tower defense flash games. God I hate casual.
@grantanamo: Fieldrunners may just be a "skin" for Desktop Tower Defense, but it's no less charming for that. I'd imagine that a fair amount of effort went its audio and visuals, and play mechanics such as being able to pinch the screen to control the zoom level.
@Twik63: Oh, I'm not going to argue that it isn't. My point was that even if a game is utterly lacking in originality, that doesn't make it necessarily "effortless" to develop.
@KsprayDad (Wishes SuperBat Good Luck): ha ha ha ha, bwah hahahahahahaaaaaa, ha ha...ha...haa, wait a second, wait a second I just need to get my breath ba-haaaha haahahahahahahaa haaaaa!!!
@BritBloke916: Well... if you were trying to say that the iPod is a good line... it's not. Why would I buy something that is more expensive, has less features, and is lower quality, when compared to something like a Cowon?
"Galcon didn't even break into the top 100 (that Saltsman knew of)."
The caveat is wise; Galcon was one of the earliest games for the platform and I'm SURE I've seen it on the lists (at least in the UK store). Great game, BTW.

Pretentious platformer? That was less than three seconds...

Whenever I think of the iPhone and its app store, that phrase springs to mind.
Actually, thinking about it, it applies pretty well to any Apple product.

Wow, the entire iPod line and everything else too, eh? You're a harsh man.

It makes your screen look like a mug of beer and when you tip the iphone the liquid pours out.
