    If I weren't living on the other side of the world I'd be so there! There, in E3, PAX, in Jessica Alba's pants...Yeah I'm a traveling man by heart but not by wallet. =)

    so much fun last night! i can't lie Brian, at the begining of the night you said to make sure to drink alot since The Mercury Cafe donated the space, and i did exactly that... so buch booze... but i did win shwag 3 times (including Saints row, a kick ass Mushroom Men poster that makes me feel high just looking at it, some random goodies and LEGOZ!!!) which is simply fantastic! glad we raised so much!

    That would be awesome if there was an event like this in Chicago, I bet if would fare pretty well.


    Plus more cities only increase the awareness and overall donations go up!

    @Foglight55: there was, on Tuesday. i'm not up on the Chicago gaming scene, but it didn't seem to be advertised very well. i only found it by looking at the Child's Play event list on their main site.


    it was fun.. a few kinks here and there (one of the PS3 setups refused to work), but a decent, fun crowd. i was hoarse the next morning due to yelling at the MK vs. DC tourney players. i can't remember who the main guy from Dawdle.com was, but it was quite amusing to be in the presence of a skinny, vitriolic, thoroughly drunk Indian guy in a suit.


    i'd like to know how much it took in.. they were pushing people to buy booze since they paid $1000 for the bar tab. i hope they at least broke even. :/ "getting drunk...for the children!"

    Was a great time. I think my favorite moment was watching a group play Rush on expert... fingers and drumsticks flying. Completely nailing it.


    And then the WORST vocals of the night kicked in. Pretty damn hilarious.

    Congrats on the success man. It's awesome to see people who are typically viewed by society as lazy slackers get together for something bigger than themselves, while still enjoying their hobby. Wish I could've been there, just a little more to the east next year, perhaps? Like, 500 hundred miles east. :-)
