And people wonder why I prefer Rock Band and Harmonix over Activision. Instead of making people buy the same game on a portable system and pay more for an accessory, they release something that people have been clamoring for. I mean how awesome is that? They're not making you buy a tiny-tiny USB guitar or use the PSP's mic or something, but they're coming out with what will, hopefully, be a greater version of an already great music game.

Damn. I was all prepared to heckle this idea as roundly as I did Guitar Hero for the DS, but they managed to make it appealing. Very appealing.

Looks like I'm back on the PSP wagon in 2009.

I find this funny because when it was announced people were like "BAW, not another sell-out. Guitar Hero DS on the PSP QQQ"

Now people are more like "Fuck yeah, amplitude"

My favourite part of Amplitude was all the awesome electronica music (and techno remixes of other genres, King of Rock ftw). This seems like it will obviously not have that type of song flavour.

Also, I have this feeling that porting songs from the console version will be the order of the day.

But who fucking cares about the brass tacks? AMPLITUDE REBORN! I can get behind that.

Well glad it's not a bunch of people with tiny instruments crowded around a PSP screen.
