The brown-eyed, pigtailed 22-year-old, who describes herself as a "reality porn star", just signed on with porn powerhouse Digital Playground and her first movie is set for a Dec. 29 release.

But that's her public face. Her secret life is one of guilty, geeky pleasures: LAN parties, Star Trek, World of Warcraft and building and modding her own PCs.

"I started playing video games when I was 13 or 14, when Age of Empires came out, and I've been playing ever since," Alexis told Kotaku in a recent interview.

Alexis refers to her gaming habits as her "alter life", an interesting choice of words for someone in her business.

"I've been playing World of Warcraft since it came out and have played every expansion since," she said. "I play Tiger Woods and other games. I love it, it's my alter life."

Unlike some other adult actors and actresses who form industry guilds or use their real names in game, Alexis prefers to play anonymously.

"My alternate live is very nerdy," she said. "I love playing people online and them not knowing who I am. It is really relaxing for me, kind of an escape, you know?

"I kind of have tried to maintain my anonymity. It's the one place I can play and not have people talk to me about what I do. For me, it's not about talking to people, it's about bashing people."

Alexis says she has a lot of characters in World of Warcraft, her favorite game, including a level 72 Night Elf Druid, a level 44 Tauren Hunter and a level 64 Blood Elf Mage.

"I usually try to play female characters," she said. "I keep a couple of guy characters too. I have several different accounts, so they have different names."

Alexis' self-professed love of gaming goes far beyond your typical mainstream gamer. Her other hobby is building and modding computers.

"I have a couple of different computers," she said. "I have a PC I built out for gaming, a Mac Pro for editing and site building and I have a server back up I host my stuff off of. I also have a Toshiba laptop."

"I'm pretty spoiled."

Alexis sounds proudest of her main computer, one she built herself and installed in a homemade transparent, baby-blue plexiglass case.

"I have water-cooling in there, I picked up the new i7975 extreme edition CPU," she said. "I have it set up as a dual boot with XP 32-bit and Vista 64.

"I don't have Windows 7 yet, but I'm exciting about picking it up. I'm going to try out the 32 and 64 to see which makes more sense."

She says she didn't get into PC modding and building until she went to college.

"I got hooked up with a bunch of kids that got into LAN tournaments," she said. "I wanted to compete and be a bad ass with a cool machine.

"I really just enjoy it, it's so different than anything else I do. It keeps me fresh and going."

Alexis says she's never had the chance to combine her career with her love of gaming culture, something like World of Whorecraft, but she would jump at the opportunity.

"If Digital Playgrounds decides to do something like that, role-playing or fantasy, I'd would love to do it," she said. "I'm a big Star Trek fan too."

I asked Alexis if she gets annoyed that people are surprised that an attractive adult actress like herself would play video games.

"It's not annoying, it's a little surprising," she said. "I've met a lot of cool women that play video games through LAN tournies. What surprises people is that I'm hot and a porn star and a player, but that has nothing to do with it, gaming is so popular now."

"My gaming should be about what I do, not who I am."

<![CDATA[Adult Films Push For Presence on Gaming Consoles]]> The head of the largest adult video production company in the world plans to start pushing for the inclusion of porn on the Playstation Network.

If Vivid Entertainment head Steve Hirsch succeeds, he will look into getting adult videos on the Xbox 360 and perhaps the Wii, the co-founder of Vivid told Kotaku.

"Our point is pretty simple," Hirsch told Kotaku. "As long as age verification is in place that (Sony) feels comfortable with we see no reason why adults shouldn't be allowed to access adult movies on the Playstation 3."

Hirsch said his company, that has an extensive catalog of films including Bad Wives, Seven Deadly Sins and Tristan Taramino's Expert Guide to Oral Sex 2, is in the process of drafting a formal request to send to Sony Computer Entertainment, but that they have not yet discussed the idea with the company.

Sony officials did not respond to requests for comment for this story.

Hirsch says they've decided to broach the subject now with Sony because of the console maker's decision last month to allow Japan's DDM.TV to bring on-demand Blu-ray quality HD adult movies to the console. That service is only available in Japan.

"They had made it clear in the past they were not interested," Hirsch said. "Now that they have agreed to in some way allow adult films on the Japanese platform we are going to move forward and make a formal request."

Sony's reluctance to allow adult films on their platform is not a new issue, Hirsch said they confronted the same issues when Blu-ray first came out.

"We do support Blu-ray now, but Sony did not want adult Blu-ray for a long time," he said. "The way they stopped that from happened was that there was only a few places where you could get Blu-ray replicated and authored.

"For a long time it was only HD-DVD that would allow us to replicate in HD. Ultimately Sony came around."

And Hirsch hopes the same will happen with the Playstation Network.

The idea is that there would be an Adults Only section on the Playstation 3's online network, which already rents and sells more mainstream movies. There are a number of ways to verify that a person is 18 before they get access to that area, Hirsch said.

Hirsch understands it will be an uphill battle.

"It is certainly something that creates a lot of attention, when you talke about adult content being put on any new platform," he said. "It isn't that dissimilar to getting it on cell phones.

"Certainly we understand there is going to be some resistance on Sony's part when it comes to adult content on their console. We all understand there are kids who use the Playstation every day and we want to keep content away from them, but there are also adults who use it."

Vivid Entertainment is currently drafting a letter that they plan to send to Sony by the end of the week, he said. And if things go well, Hirsch will look into getting adult content on Microsoft's Xbox Live video service and other gaming platforms.

"It is something as an industry we would like to accomplish," he said. "If we move forward here we would look at other potential gaming platforms like the Xbox 360. The Wii seems to skew a little young."

<![CDATA[E3's Lone Porn Star Is Eyeing a Wii]]> Plenty of video game developers have booth babes on hand at this year's E3 to add a little sizzle to their games, but only Codemasters has an award-winning porn star in attendance.

Bobbi Starr, named 2009's "superslut" by the X-Rated Critics Organization, said she sort of just fell into the booth babe roll this week through a friend of a friend.

Codemasters had no idea when they hired Starr to model at their booth for upcoming racer for Dirt 2 as a "dirty girl" that she was a star in her own right.

But that hasn't kept people familiar with Starr's work as a pro-sex feminist pornographic actress from recognizing her.

"I've run into quite a few people here who recognized me," she said.

Yesterday Starr twittered that she would be at the show as a "dirty girl" even posting before and after photos showing what she looked like after having her face dappled with grease and dirt for the booth.

Starr says she wasn't really aware what E3 was when she took the job, but has been enjoying the experience.

"I used to play a lot of video games in high school," said Starr, 26. "I used to play Diablo, World of Warcraft, the old-school World of Warcraft."

Starr said she stopped playing World of Warcraft when she graduated from San Jose State University with a music degree.

But, other porn gamers, like Whorecraft's Mia Rose and Belladonna, have been asking her about getting back into World of Warcraft.

"I wanted to get back into it when the latest one came out, but I didn't," she said.

Starr says she does want to pick up a Nintendo Wii so she can check out the aerobic games on the console. She'd also love to check out the Xbox 360's new motion controls she said.

Most showing at the annual E3 video game conference this year have models on parade at their booth, showing off the studio's goods and hoping to drum up a bit more interest. But only Codemasters has a porn star hanging out.

<![CDATA[Akiharabara Idol Gets Porn Homage]]> Former Akihabara idol Shoko Nakagawa has fully transformed into a mainstream celeb. While just a year ago, Shoko-tan was doing Akihabara Ninety-Nine Nights cosplay events for Microsoft, now she's selling shampoo and appearing in fashion mags. Sure, she still has nerd cred with the otaku horde. Hence, this: an adult video with a costume-playing Shoko Nakagawa look-alike. There's a screenshot of the film after the jump, which involves a PSP, canned ramen and a 12 inch Powerbook. So kinky!

<![CDATA[Another Lucky Star Dirty Vid, This One Freaky]]> There's not one, but two (count 'em!) Lucky Star adult video adaptations. The anime already has a DS game and is getting a PS2 incarnation this November. So lucky. And just yesterday we featured smut flick Kira Suta, which put too much effort in puns and chocolate buns, but not enough in hair dye. Enter porno actress Yuria Hidaka. She's got the hair color, the cowlick and the clothes right. The rest is very, very wrong.

Know this: While the above photo is innocuous enough, there is a freakazoid picture after the jump. It does not contain any nudity or bodily fluids whatsoever, but is VERY MESSED UP. So! If you are the type to be offended by, say people in shrink-warp, then move along. Everyone else, click at your own risk!

<![CDATA[Booth Babes Revenge: Nowhere To Hide]]>

Friday was a bit of a lull, sure it was busier than Thursday, but still not the epic, soul-crushing crowds of today. Not only have the number of attendees increases exponentially, but so have the number of booth babes. Funny how that works. It seems like the naked, but painted Booth Babe is very popular in Germany.

<![CDATA[Whorecraft Producer Expands Into FPS]]> kc.JPG

I interviewed film producer Dez earlier this year for a feature on his interesting, and pornographic take on the World of Warcraft. The World of Whorecraft fascinated me, not just because it was about beautiful women dressed up as characters from Warcraft having sex, but because there were some elements of real fantasy plot, an attention to detail in the costumes and a sense of fun that I suspect you don't normally see in pornography.

Dez pinged me last night to tell me that another gaming-themed porn series he had hinted to me about was now going live. FPS-Porn Operation Sex: Cock and Load is sort of the same idea as World of Warcraft, but built around the prevalent first-person shooter genre. Think games like Counter-Strike, Ghost Recon Advances Warfighter and Rainbow Six Three.

I had a chance to watch the first episode last night and it was certainly chockful of the gamer references from a killcam, to a mission briefing to shoot-outs filmed in first-person. But while I saw the same attention to detailed costumes, the same rudimentary plot the fact that it involved gunplay seemed to kill the sense of fun that I felt in the WoW take-offs. I'm sure the new series will have a devoted following, but there's already a flood of sex and violence out there so it didn't seem to stand out nearly as much as World of Warcraft.

<![CDATA[Whorecraft Starlet Kicked from WoW]]> miarosechar.JPG

Mia Rose, hardcore gamer and pornstar, who appeared in several episodes of World of Whorecraft, told Kotaku that she was banned from the World of Warcraft over the weekend after a fan recognized her and mentioned her webiste in a public chat channel.

Rose, who played a randy elf in a couple of Whorecraft episodes a year ago, said she was banned after a fellow gamer recognized her on the Mai' Ganis server and mentioned the starlet's site in a barter chat room.

"After someone said I had a bad nose, this was randomly it happens a lot, I responded 'Hey, learn hot to search, stop using Google, go to Myspace or something, I've had a noise job'" she said. "The person then typed MIAROSESEXXX.com ZOMFG."

About ten minutes later Rose received a message from a GM saying she was suspended. She hasn't been able to get a hold of the Blizzard folks to try and clear it up.

Rose said that while she likes the serve she's considering changing to another server under a different name to try and avoid the often boisterous, sometimes unwanted attention.

"Every time I log on, I get twenty or more messages at a time... it has come to the point of having to contact the GM every time I try to sell something because people are going off with either Mia Rose spam or hate messages."

<![CDATA[The Cooking Mama Hookers]]> Forget dirty movies. You know you've made it, when you get a prostitution business named after your game. And with Cooking Mama, developer Office Create has made it. Head over to Osaka's tricks-for-cash "Cooking Mama." Adult mini-games run ¥10,000 an hour (US $84), but probably are short. Much shorter. It specializes in not just in older motherly-types, but older motherly-types wearing nothing but aprons. Apparently, there is an audience for this! Oddly, there is a "Cooking Mama Corporation" behind this hooker outfit. It was established in 2006, which is the same year Cooking Mama hit the DS. Coincidence? Ha!

Does starring in adult films affect your brain? Let's ask superstar Tera Patrick, who's appeared in seventy plus pornos. And since, we're a game site, how about some game questions via Gamerhelp.com. Tera, what titles appeal to you?

I personally have a thing for most of the Dead or Alive girls. I also love Rumble Roses. The way they bounce really gets me going.

Titles, Tera, we said "titles." Let's imagine a gamer wanted to ask you out. What's the best approach?

Don't try to hide your dorkiness. Use a pickup line like 'want to play with my joystick?'

NO EFFECT WHATSOEVER. Elsewhere, Tera mentions how the adult industry is "aching" for more sex games and that she once did an appearance at E3 creating a line "a mile long" of gamers who wanted to meet her. Ya think?

Add erotic PC games to places where Japanese adult vids take inspiration. Back in 2002, PC title maker AliceSoft's Tsumamigui (NSFW) was the best selling erotic computer game. Fast forward to the present day, AliceSoft has given its blessing to a hardcore skin flick based on the game. Above the film's starlets pose with their in-game counterparts. <![CDATA[Feature: Nerdcore, Kubrick and Power Gloves]]>

By: Colette Bennett

Entering the doors of Meltdown on Sunset Blvd, I suddenly found myself in the middle of a fumbling geek orgasm-toys, comics, figurines and t shirts as far as the eye could see. Never having been before, I was a bit overwhelmed by the desire to just hurl my wallet at the unsuspecting guy behind the register and run about whooping with delight.

As easy as it would have been to stand drooling and mesmerized before glass cases of Kubrick and Qee bears, I steadied my resolve and headed back to the gallery area to scope out the scene and hopefully chat it up with some equally game-friendly citizens. Walking in and hearing the DJ playing a remix of the Maniac Mansion theme song put a wry smile on my face. You know you're in the right place when you see people shaking ass to that shit.

The gallery itself is modest in size, with clean white walls and some fantastic Roman Dirge artwork hanging. Even distracted by all that goth creativity, I pretty much made a beeline for the tables set up for the event, as I wanted to get my hot little paws on the material in question ASAP. I'm happy to say the Nerdcore calendar itself looks good. Frankly, when I first saw posts about it, I had some qualms. Sure, naked girls rock. And I've been known to get hard nippled at the sight of a Power Glove myself, so I'm sure as hell not bitching about seeing all that peripheral goodness either. From my perspective though, something about it seemed a bit off. I wasn't sure I believed any of those girls would actually play those games, and while your average 16 year old isn't going to be remotely phased by that, it got me wondering if the concept could really be sexy in actual execution. I was pleasantly surprised. I'm no more convinced that these girls are real gamers than I was when I saw the original bloggings about the calendar, but the photos were sexy and tasteful enough to push my buttons just fine.

I did have the pleasure of chatting with the photographer, Cherie Roberts, a girl lovely enough to warrant a calendar of her own. Cherie's no stranger to photography-she's shot for the likes of Suicide Girls, not to mention maintaining her own website and writing for IGN Babes on the side. I would need two clones to achieve this, but somehow she makes it look effortless. She says the Nerdcore calendar was a project meant to combine the funky iconic look of retro gaming with the classic pin-up theme. Best of all, it peppers the usual calendar boredom of holidays no one's ever heard of with nerd-friendly movie releases, key anniversaries (Mega Man's 20th!), and conventions of interest. Coming soon: Nerdcore Special Edition Blackberry with HAL voice reminders! Ok, not really.

SM_-_Nerdcore_November.jpg

We hung out a while, chatted with the girls and enjoyed the spoils (free booze, always a delight.) It seemed the general consensus on the calendar was that it was a good idea and done well. I did hear a peep or two from a few of the attendees that while the girls looked great and the shots were well done, that they lacked the spark of a player actually enjoying the game. Well, I can't deny that myself-I certainly didn't believe any of these girls were firing up their PSPs in between shots, armed with Nintendogs or otherwise.

We mused at what a real game girl calendar would look like-perhaps still centerfold influenced, but replacing stats and measurements with favorite games and top scores? On the other hand, I'm unsure that even the hottest girl looks her best truly enjoying the game she's playing. She's likely in sweats with no makeup, having just rolled out of bed and tortured out of sleep by the fact that she can't quite beat the shit out of that kid in Bully. Less sexy....or more? Is it better than polished models posing with carefully selected arcade games? It's hard to say. Regardless, naked still sells-no matter what the consensus is in the end, you're likely to find the Nerdcore calendar hanging in the homes of at least a few of your friends by year's end. In the end, we're all still supporting games. Who wouldn't take all their clothes off for that cause?

<![CDATA[For Posterity: The Great Kotaku/Fleshbot/Defamer Mash-Up of 2006]]>

For about thirty minutes yesterday, this site frankly became just a hell of a lot better. In what is internally being described as the weirdest tech problem in Gawker history, all of the network's sites went through a Brundlian teleporter together and grotesquely metamorphosed into half-breed mutants of one another.

Who was the fly on the glass when we teleported? No less than Fleshbot, Gawker's porno blog, and the one all of us secretly want to write for anyway.

Unfortunately, the only images we have were of another mash-up that briefly happened during the same time: thanks to Destructoid for recording our Defamer mash-up for posterity. It'll be tough finding a pic more homoerotic than Hoff to post on the front page, but I think Crecente's doing a cracker-jack job with that picture of him playing Guitar Hero he posts every time he mentions RedOctane.
