    That's a nice looking screen shot.

    It's funny that a fighting game with a dude with a jaguar head and a giant bear can be successful (Tekken), but EA's MMA might suffer from a lack of recognizable real world fighters, save Fedor. #easportsmma

    @GoonerVance: It's not going to sell worth a damn. 90% of the MMA fans are strictly UFC fans, and like you said, the only recognizable fighter will be Fedor. #easportsmma

    just as i predicted.

    10% of the comments are actually insightful while 90% all include homosexual references.

    reminds me of this greco-roman wrestling school i joined with years ago with my best friend (who happens to be gay.)

    the first month, not a single guy in the squad would dare practice with me. i ask my friend why that was the case. he told me that they were afraid of having to deal with "gay bashing comments." thankfully they saw that i was free of ignorance. back then i thought i had made a difference.

    it appears from all the gay comments on here, we have a long way to go before we all grow up and come up with wittier jokes.

    that said, im looking forward to seeing what EA comes up with, gotta keep THQ on their toes. #easportsmma

    @inkjazz: they make the jokes, but very far and few. where as on here it will be to no end. at least make an attempt at a good joke. the whole

    @Duuuuuuude: the funny thing is, this is the FIRST screen of the game. if you are a casual or hardcore mma you would think people would be talking about the game and less about it being gay. a shame really.

    if this game looks as good as fight night and plays extremely well, THQ is gonna be in for a fight. #easportsmma

    @zåɳzißårléɠёпȡ: I couldn't agree with you more. I have a friend who was actually involved with MMA- don't really know how far he took it. Never once did I hear him make comments about how uncomfortable it was wrestling another male. If anything, this is one of the OLDEST forms of competition (although you could say that about any form of self defense).

    As an MMA fan I couldn't be more excited about this game! If you know, has there been a list of fighters that have signed on? I only saw a post or two on here about it. Link to a fighter list encouraged :D #easportsmma

    @stchoo: The game actually has a LOT of big names in it :

    Fedor Emelianenko, Randy Couture, Bas Rutten, Tim Sylvia, Cung Le, Frank Shamrock, Gegard Mousasi, Babalu, Frank Trigg, Kevin Randleman, Mayhem Miller, etc.

    The problem WOULD be brand recognition, but it's EA, so they'll promote the hell out of it and people will buy it.

    I think this might work out for them and for MMA in general, as a lot of unknown fighters will get instant recognition. #easportsmma

    @stchoo: I think that as an MMA fan, any new game concerning the sport is worth a shot. There were some good iterations back on the Dreamcast, and THQ's latest outing was awesome. I'm excited to see what EA will bring to the table- they sure have some star names attached, but I want to see how they control the fighting mechanics. #easportsmma

    @dreamfall:
    The latest UFC game was a pretty big mainstream hit. EA MMA's gameplay is what is going to have to shine, because although this new game has Randy Couture, Fedor, Mayhem and others I don't think it will sell solely on name recognition.

    I'll probably give it a shot, but it definitely has an uphill climb. Unless of course the Strikeforce events on CBS become a big hit, and don't bleed money like EliteXC & Affliction did. #easportsmma
