Phazon Suit Samus. Being infected with a glowing mutagen has never looked so good!

The statue is crafted entirely in transparent resin, with over 25 LED lights incorporated to give it the unhealthy Phazon glow, and the who thing is mounted on a mirror base that ties the whole effect together. Standing at 11 inches tall, Phazon Suit Samus is very pretty, but also pretty rare at only 1,500 pieces worldwide, and pretty expensive at $224.99. If you've got the funds and are so inclined, hit up the order page immediately to make sure you get yours when they are released in early 2009. Hit the jump for two more pictures of this spectacular piece.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Metroid Prime Phazon Suit Next in First 4 Figures Metroid Line!

With the unique color scheme of black helmet and red visor, the Phazon Suit is awarded after defeating the Omega Pirate. Both Samus’ suit and gun are infected with pure Phazon. This gives the Phazon Suit an ability to protect Samus from the deadly effects of the deadly blue substance and shoot the Phazon Beam when standing in pools of Phazon. Just when Metroid Prime is defeated, the Phazon Suit is stolen and used to create one of Samus’ greatest enemies, Dark Samus!

First 4 Figures is extremely proud to present the ultimate version of the Samus Aran's Phazon Suit. First 4 Figures has used the official game files in order to create an extremely accurate recreation of the Phazon suit, with pose inspiration taken from official Metroid artwork.

Looks incredibly on its own and really completes a display when put together with the Varia suit and Gravity suit statues.

We completely reengineered the original Varia suit model to make the Phazon suit by casting it entirely in transparent resin, adding over 25 LED lights through the suit and finished it off by adding a mirror base which really shows off the lights. When the lights are turned off, an internal IC chip allows for the lights to fade out slowly. The statue is hand finished and hand painted with metallic paints to give an authentic representation of the suits. Comes packed in a foam interior full colored box with a card of authenticity.

The Phazon Suit is highly limited at just 1500 pieces worldwide.

Height: 11 inches across base

SRP: $224.99

<![CDATA[ First 4 Figures Nabs Sonic License ]]> First 4 Figures, creators of some of the most amazing Zelda, Metroid, and Transformers collectible statues you're likely to find, have just announced an agreement with Jetix Consumer Products to produce viynl figures and statues based off of the 'classic version' of Sonic the Hedgehog. The first series of 4 to 5 inch figures is slated for July 2008 release, with the lineup - as pictured above - featuring Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles. Depending on where they draw the line with 'classic' Sonic, there might not be all that many more in the pipe. I mean, what's left? Robotnik? Maybe some mechanical animals? As far as I am concerned, vinyl Sonic figures are a dime a dozen anyway. I'm holding out to see what they do in the statue department.

<![CDATA[ Fierce Deity Link Review ]]> FIERCEBrett Martin at the Video Game Memorabilia Museum Forums got his Fierce Deity Link limited edition statue in the mail recently, posting a series of pictures and hands-on impressions of the packaging and sculpt.

While the review is generally positive, there was one tiny little issue. While assembling the Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask version of Link, Martin's statue suffered a slight crack. Don't worry, it has a happy ending. Of the 2500 Fierce Deity Link statues made by First4Figures, it looks like they are still in stock and ready to order from the official site.

Interested collectors should check out the in-depth analysis before they consider dropping $130.

Thanks for the heads up, Brett.

<![CDATA[ Order Your Ocarina of Time Adult Link Statues Tomorrow ]]> Continuining the series kicked off by the Fierce Diety Link and Skull Kid collectible statues comes the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time edition of "adult" Link. Sadly, Link is not naked nor involved in adult situations as the characters in adult films and adult books typically are. He's in the expected elf gear he sported on the Nintendo 64.

Again limited to 2500 pieces, the third statue in First4Figures Legend of Zelda line will be available for pre-order tomorrow, December 8 for a cheap $109.99. More pics are available at the official site.

<![CDATA[ First 4 Figures Unveils New Zelda Statue, The Skull Kid ]]>

Alex over at First 4 Figures sent us word that the next figure in their series of Legend of Zelda themed toys/statues/collectibles/voodoo dolls has been announced: the 'Skull Kid'.

Never heard of him. But he's apparently from Majora's Mask. Here's the description from the press release:

The Skull Kid was a curious little fellow, often finding trouble in the most unexpected of places with his fairy friends Tatl and Tael. One day in the forest, the trio happened to come across the most peculiar of people, a traveling mask salesman. When the merchant was paying him no mind, the Skull Kid took a very precious mask. This was no ordinary mask; this was a special mask, a dark and cursed mask. This was Majora's Mask. Donning the strange artifact, the Skull Kid would harness a power far beyond his imagination. Little did he know, however, that he was to become a puppet, an unsuspecting pawn to the very mask itself. Possessed and corrupted, the once lighthearted and amusingly mischievous imp inadvertently unleashes a powerful and threatening force upon the peaceful inhabitants of Termina. Now time is running nigh, as the will of Majora swiftly mobilizes its servant into drawing an ominous moon from the heavens on a collision course towards the helpless people below...

Hand-painted! Only 2,500 pieces! $99.99! The statue is 9 inches high, including the base, so if you give it to your girlfriend for Christmas, it might well be the only 9 inch thing she'll ever get from you.
