    This actually looks good, graphically and gameplay wise. Should be a good game, music fit perfectly.

    Funny and interesting that the commercials actually refer to the games as "Eff-Eff-See-See". Well, more "Eff-Eff-She-She", but that doesn't matter.

    Would Bon Jovi promoting this game make me buy it? No. Would laser-shooting cows make me buy it? Hell. Yes. #music

    Honestly

    it doesn't fit too bad. And if you didn't tell me it was Bon Jovi I wouldn't have even known, because it just sounded like a fitting song. That and I'm not familiar with any Bon Jovi song that isn't Living on a Prayer, Wanted Dead or Alive, You Give Love a Bad Name, and Bed of Roses. #music

    That song is the worst song ever so it makes them terrible and by association makes the game terrible.

    Seriously. They could advertise gold plated gold for a dollar and I would refuse to buy it if they used that terrible song. #music

    Honestly, the ads are so short and so covered up by Layle and everyone else yelling, you can hardly even hear the vocals. How much did Square pay Bon Jovi? Because they certainly aren't getting their money's worth. #music

    It's stilla Final Fantasy game. It doesn't matter if it's part of the numbered series. The first Crystal Chronicles was great, (and this might be a great game, too). But Final Fantasy doesn't need friggin' Bon Jovi to sell it and if they think it does then maybe the game isn't good enough to stand on its own.

    This dilutes Final Fantasy. That's what I'm bitching about. #music

    It's also a commercial that, (I'm guessing), doesn't even run in your country.

    The only thing that will dilute anything is if the game is bad. Not Bon Jovi. #music

    Look, guys. I'm not trying to troll. I'm making an honest, (though strongly worded) opinion. I'm not raging--I'm not even buying this game, (strictly because I don't have a Wii.) Square Enix is doing something that lots of developers do. They want to sell games and they're using marketing to do it rather than simply making incredible games which sell themselves. And while they've used marketing to sell FF titles forever, the reason that marketing was so successful is because the FF games were incredible. Not so these days.

    Atomsk, "Final Fantasy" selling the game is exactly my point. (Although, they think the song won't hurt, or they wouldn't have used it.)
    They're letting marketing sell the game--e.g., that it's Final Fantasy and Hey, kids! Look at this singer! That tells me they care more about selling units of this game than making a game worth selling that lives up to the Final Fantasy standard.

    That said, the Final Fantasy standard has been in the dumpster for a while. I liked XII as an RPG but it didn't really feel like an FF. Here's hoping XIII/vsXIII brings the magic back.

    In the end, I guess it doesn't matter, really. They're just video games. #music

    @Hiroken: Dude...to sell more copies you market your game using whatever. As long as it's a good game it doesn't matter.

    It's like getting mad if Brutal Legend had Dave Mustaine do Tornado of Souls in a TV ad or something...

    Doesn't change the game, content or anything, but gets a lot more people of the target audience interested because it's Dave fucking Mustaine.

    Also it's hard to sell a game because the game is awesome when your showcasing it on a 10 second commercial. What can you show in 10 seconds that will make EVERYBODY want to buy it?

    Even Beyonetta just used sex to sell itself... #music

    hahaha! seriously? dude, Psychonauts, Murasama, Beyond Good and Evil, Yakuza, etc, were all great games that sold SHIT because the marketing wasn't strong. Marketing is incredibly necessary. #music

    this game seems really fun, but is it just me or does it seem to lack the...Final Fantasy feeling? like you got moogles and chocobos, but something seems off. I haven't tried any of the CC games, so maybe they all are like this?

    Oh man, I'm getting a serious FFIX feel here. And it's awesome to see them actually continuing the storyline from the first FFCC. Another Wii game I'm jealous of. This even looks like it could be one of the best things SE has done in years! Voice acting sucks though.

    Previous screenshots (like the one in the sidebar of this page) made the main character look like a tiny child. This trailer's certainly got me interested.

    Too bad it comes out Dec. 26, I'll likely be poor by then.
