Heh, I can laugh at this because on its final day, I downloaded as much demos and stuff as I could. Although I'm kind of relieved that FileFront isn't dead, I now have a crapton of files that I don't know what to do with...
cheers. ive gotten so many game soundtracks through forum posters hosting them on filefront. im glad to see people prosper/survive in these trying times.
@Preston Schultz: considering that a great portion of the soundtracks i got werent even available for purchased.. they were personally ripped from the games by users.. i wouldnt consider that stealing. but okay.
@RhodesNK: As am I. It's a fantastic download service. I don't use it much anymore, but it was my go-to place for demos back in the day, and I was sad to see it go.

@ShaggE: Yeah, that's what I was hoping. With no account needed and direct downloads it was my favorite site for demos. I guess I will go through Steam to get most of them now. At least for the few they do offer.

Their power grows with purpose strong
To claim the home where they belong
Home to tear the Temples down...
Home to change!

Yeah. Beyond gamespy, and a couple of other sites, filefront was really one of the best - and usually fastest - source for... Well, everything!
Sad to see them close up. :(
