Let's have a look at the finished product.

The 1/6 scale Iroha was sculpted by modeler Dzou. Iroha does not yet have pricing, a release date or proper coverage for her tush.

<![CDATA[Cosplaying with Cosplay Figurine]]> This is a Kotaku first, I believe. We've featured cosplaying tons on Kotaku. Ditto for figurines. But, we've never covered people cosplaying with figurines that are cosplaying. Here, cosplayer Usagi Tsukimiya poses with a Hobby Wave Haruhi Suzumiya bunny figure. Even though Tsukimiya was a Hobby Wave booth companion at the recent Wonder Festival in Japan, something about this photo shoot seems oddly profound. A cosplayer posing as a figurine character in cosplay? Damn, that's deep.

<![CDATA[Gears of War Exploding Head Figure is GROSS]]> Sure, we post our share of risky toys, but here's something slightly different. Something without plastic jubblies. Something totally grody. Something like this Gears of War Locust with its head being blown into iddy-bitty pieces. As we previously hinted at, this was spotted at the US Toy Fair. Close-up after the jump, complete with plastic blood squirtage.

<![CDATA[Mai Shiranui Toy Stripped Topless]]> That Kasumi figurine topless teardown revealed something was missing. Well, two things were missing. Website Heisei Democracy has an in-depth review of the 33 centimeter tall figurine of SNK fighter and doujin favorite Mai Shiranui. From the review:

Two final production notes: first, her fans are made of paper and wood and actually collapse and unfold like real folding fans, which is a really cool touch, though they should be treated with care to avoid breakage. Also, while clearly not intended for castoff it's easy enough to pry the front of her costume away from her breasts and peel the front back over her shoulders — though that's as far as it goes.

Somewhat NSFW gallery of the teardown placed safely after the jump. More explicit and risky pics at Heisei Democracy!

<![CDATA[Kasumi Toy Stripped Topless]]> This is shocking. So so shocking. It's so shocking and TOTALLY NOT SAFE FOR WORK that we're putting the gallery after the jump, and the pics in the gallery have been censored by the site that originally posted them. Well, it's not that shocking, but it's certainly NSFW! Japanese figure-centric site Moeyo.com has a review of SEGA Prize Dead or Alive Kasumi figure designed by figurine sculptor Shunya Yamashita. Moeyo takes the regular Kasumi figurine and removes her plastic clothes. For those who have never seen a Moeyo review, be warned. They embarrass her. Horribly.

Moeyo censored the pictures. And no, the figure's breasts don't have nipples. Moeyo added the tank top for shits and giggles.

<![CDATA[A Figurine Ho-Down for Your Eyes]]> The twice-a-year Wonder Festival is Japan's biggest figure-selling bonanza with over a thousand dealers taking part. The event recently wrapped up in Tokyo on the 12th. The next one will be in Osaka this winter. Here's what makes it so damn cool: All fan-made kits are given a one day license by copyright holders via the Wonder Festival Executive Committe. Meaning? Sellers can put their work on the market without fear of breaking the law.

I've put together of official and fan-made stuff. It's mostly game-related like Ayane from Dead or Alive (above). So you should be able to pick out Resident Evil, THE iDOLM@STER, SNK ladies, Metal Gear Solid and a fuckton of Haruhi Suzumiya figurines.

<![CDATA[Bemani Figure Gets Green Light]]>

Back in May, Konami dangled a Beatmania carrot rope, telling fans that if 2,500 pre-orders were received by June 17th for character Iroha Umegiri figurine, the piece would go into production. If not, well. When first announced, there wasn't even a resin sample or character model. Since then, the above figure has surfaced.

Good news! Iroha will go into production. Apparently enough folks pre-ordered, and Konami met its quota. The statue looks passable at best, but that probably doesn't matter to Bemani diehards. Iroha will be the first in Konami's planned Beatmania series. They better not set quotas for each figurine, because that would be annoying!

<![CDATA[DS Figurines For Adults]]>

We've opened up the naughty SNK figurine flood gates! Earlier McWhertor posted this Mai sculpt, and I now I bring you Tsunami from upcoming DS title Denshi Maid Techou: Koi no Iroha. In the game, players raise Iroha, the thong-wearing maid character from Samurai Spirits. She manages your schedule, and thus, the game also doubles as scheduling software. Those SNK people sure are clever! This 16cm figurine goes on sale in Japan this July and books at around US $35. Not sure when the actual game goes on sale, so I'll just wait patiently for the nerd riots.

<![CDATA[New Dead Or Alive, Brings New Dead Or Alive Crap]]>

Just because Dead or Alive Xtreme 2 didn't exactly set the world on fire, doesn't mean its game goods can't. (And some will argue that the series is now produced to sell certain segments of the population life-sized character pillows.) This year, DOAX2 gets a Kasumi beach resort statue, which doesn't really look like its in-game counterpart. I mean, look at those thin ankles! Kasumi has chunky ankles!! And those jubblies, Kasumi has — er... Yup, the fake plastic part, they got that right.

<![CDATA[The Spinning Link Action Figure]]>

Alice over at Wonderland directs our attention to this odd Link toy. Apparently, it was a kid's meal toy from a Canadian fast food outfit from a couple years back. When you press the button, Link spins around and attacks. This is available at Princess Peach's eBay shop, which has loads, I repeat loads, of cool stuff.

<![CDATA[Samus Action Figure With Two Heads]]>

Here it is dear reader, the only official Samus Aran figure ever produced! This was made back in 2003 by Joy Ride Studios, selling for around US $10. She has 12 articulated points; however, some, such as her shoulders, are restricted by her armor. The toy did include an unmasked Samus head! Though, we'd really prefer if this Samus kept her helmet on.

<![CDATA[Got Any Comic-Con Pics? Share You Hoarding Bastards]]>

The moniker "Comic-con" is slightly deceptive. We all know the convention is geared towards comic book geeks, but there are those occasional sprinkles for game nerds like us. Take this super cool Samus sculpture that was on display, for example. Any one that saw game-related goodness, do sent it along. We'd love to see it.
