We are so surprised! You may want to hold own to your socks for this bombshell. We'll wait. Ready? Okay, Japanese figure maker Kotobukiya is going to make, oh the suspense, a Bayonetta figure.

I know!

The details: It's a 1/6 PVC figurine that will be sculpted in the pose below. According to Tomopop, the statue will have a light-up base covered in what sounds like Bayonetta's bullet shells.

No word on pricing. We'll let all this sink in. I mean, what's next Mai Shiranui figures? Kasumi figures? The mind boogles. Imagine people will start cosplaying as this character, too. It's just a matter of time.

<![CDATA[Huge Gundam Made Smaller]]> The 1/1 scale Gundam statue in Tokyo's Odaiba may be gone, but our memories live on and on and on — in statue form.

This is not a life-sized statue you can own (crap!), but a 30cm, 4 kilogram model of the life-sized model. Relive the memories! Out Spring 2010, yours for ¥81,900 (US$893). That's certainly not a miniature price.

<![CDATA[Brutal Legend's Eddie Riggs In All His Sculpted Glory]]> How can you truly call yourself metal if you don't have a 17 inch Brutal Legend Eddie Riggs figure leaping dramatically from your mantle?

Sculpted lovingly by Mark Newman and splashed with color by Tom Vukmanic, this official Eddie Riggs statue depicts Jack Black's video game alter ego at the height of his power, leaping majestically from atop a base of skulls and horns to lay waste to his enemies with The Separator firmly in his grip. The statue is limited to only 1,000 pieces worldwide, and EA is being awfully coy as to how to get your hands on one. All they say is to keep your eyes on the Brutal Legend website and the @brutallegend Twitter feed for your chance to bring one of these babies home.

What happened to the good old days, when we could simply give someone a great deal of money for our collectibles?

<![CDATA[Here Manhunt's Piggy, Piggy, Piggy]]> Standing at $50 with the reserve not yet met, I suspect this Piggy statue from Rockstar-thriller Manhunt isn't something you could put on a list of inexpensive holiday presents.

In fact, only 500 of these figures were made (this is 129 of 500). How much would you pay for this bit of bloody gaming schwag?

<![CDATA[Japan To Get Butcher Figure With Silent Hill Origins]]> Continuing a long legacy of making me seethe with jealousy and bite my lip until it bleeds, the Japanese are getting yet another amazing freebie. Folks who pre-order Silent Hill Zero (Origins) for the PSP in Japan will receive this sweet Butcher figure. No mention is made about of how big it is, but a Silent Hill figure is a Silent Hill figure and I'll take it however I can get it. I believe this will require another one of those late night phone calls to Ash unless Konami decides to offer the same thing here in the States. I will cross my fingers and silently pray to a nameless god that this happens as my long distance bill to Japan is stacking up.

<![CDATA[The Assassin's Creed Collector's Edition Figure: Now In Full Color]]> A few weeks back, our good friend Cheapy D revealed that the Assassin's Creed Collector's Edition would include a nice little collectible Altair figure. Unfortunately, all we had at the time was a simple black and white photo. But thankfully, German website cynamite.de has gotten a nice color photo of the whole set for us to check out, although truthfully, his outfit is mostly white anyway. I love that these collector's editions are getting more and more elaborate. Pretty soon they'll just come with a little game dev inside to help you through the game.

<![CDATA[Valkyrie Profile Lenneth Figure]]> On the Comic Con floor, Square Enix rolled out the first of the merchandise that will be soon be available on their upcoming U.S. online store, some for sale, some for preview. There were plenty of Kingdom Hearts figures to be seen and of course, any Final Fantasy character you could think of ranging in price from fairly cheap to you-better-take-out-a-bank-loan. This particular one from Valkyrie Profile really caught my eye because of the amount of detail involved. It's not just a figure, it's an entire scene. Something about the ones like this always make me giddy. I certainly could never afford it and I'm not even sure that it's something I'd particularly want to own, but it sure is pretty to look at.

<![CDATA[Amazing Custom Gears of War Figure]]> Emilio Lopez, the artist for a webcomic called Terranova, created this custom Gears of War action figure to give to his cousin for Christmas.
He started with a Munny do-it-yourself action figure from Kid Robot, added paint and Sculpy, and even created a custom box to create a toy I'd be proud to spend money on. Not for sale unfortunately, but you can certainly pick up a Munny or two yourself and have a go at it. Check the link below for the full process, from sketch to completion. Amazing work!
