    If Square took this guy and made him gay, I'd actually applaud them for bucking a trend. And also wish them luck with the backlash they'd get. *lol*


    Though I doubt he is gay. I mean, if a white character was to dress how he does, be happy, pose like that and have a baby Chocobo - we'd just chalk it to Tetsuya created ANOTHER one of those characters.


    It's cool that an FF game has a black character, but he looks boring. If it weren't for the baby chocobo he'd be 100% forgettable. The only interesting character of those revealed so far is Lightning. Vanille looks like Leah Dizon with red hair and Snow looks like a cross between FF VIII's Seifer and Beat from 'The world ends with you'.

    Seriously, though, this is truly a change of pace. Haven't had a black character since, well, FFVII. This guy looks pretty cool, except, may I note, that they made the gun-wielding character the black guy ಠ_ಠ

    @Akisazame: Hmm, well, you can say Kiros, but Kiros seemed more Caribbean than African American. Also, Raijin was a bad guy so ya didn't play with him.


    For a main member of your party though, this would be the first time since FFVII, unless you count this chick from FFXII...I forget her name.

    Okay, I'll be Nerdy, McNerdface: The last playable black character in a Final Fantasy wasn't Barret from FFVII. It was Kiros Seagill from Final Fantasy VIII.
