This game is going to an absolute disaster just like the movie, extras or not. Putting those G.I. Joe PSA's on your "fake" G.I. Joe game just serve to remind people how horribly wrong this "re-imagining" is.

I saw the trailer for the movie yesterday and it looks horrendously bad. What's with the armored suits?

I'm sorry, but when your trailer features Marlon Wayans prominently, you movie is going to be horrible. Dungeons and Dragons anyone?

@KillerBee: I've seen a couple of the extended trailers in the theaters now, and each time I let out a big "WTF?!"

I have no problems with these reboots, loved Star Trek, loved Transformers... but this just looks like a disaster all the way around. Somehow they completely lost any feeling of it being GI Joe. They tried to go the X-Men route and "modernize" the look using lots of black leather and carbon fiber, but it just made everything look generic and lame.

..and I can't even begin to explain how stupid it is to not have Cobra Commander wearing a mask...

@Yossarian: This is a costume I made for Halloween in 2008. I went for the hood since there have been some really great helmet costumes and few good hooded ones:

Although I will have to say that I still don't sit well with all costumes evolving into black over time. Cobra at one point was all about the blue... bring back the blue!

Can the extras packed into the video game tie-in for the G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra movie possibly make up for the lackluster game play we've seen so far?

No, it can't for obvious reasons.
