This Mega Man 9 fan tribute is a real work of art. Paper cut-outs are stop-motioned across real world objects arranged to form Mega Man-esque levels.

Actually, watching it back again it reminds me of a particularly creative LittleBigPlanet creation. The Oreo Cookie 'boss battle' is genius. Maybe this would be a good start point for Mega Man 10?

<![CDATA[Dead Fantasy I]]>
I was horrified, simply horrified to discover that upon perusal of the past week's Kotaku articles that none of my colleagues had posted this incredible video. You may remember machinima artist Monty Oum's last fan made masterpiece, Haloid. Well, if you thought that was good, wait till you see his latest offering, Dead Fantasy I. Combining Final Fantasy, Dead or Alive and a few other tidbits, Oum has created a second piece that definitely rivals the first. The end of the clip carries a "To Be Continued" and I'll be on the edge of my seat waiting to see what he comes up with next. Incredible.

<![CDATA[Clips: Next-Gen Mnage Trois]]>

In these days of rabid fanboyism it's rare to find someone who can step beyond the hate and love all three consoles equally. Kotakuite NYTrigga101 has done just that with three new videos that he's posted up on Gamtrailers that would make MTV jealous. His three pieces titled Reasons to get a PS3, Reasons to get an Xbox 360 and Reasons to get a Wii are all odes to their respective consoles, highlighting some of the best games for each. My favorite is the insane Elebits portion of the Wii video with the little Elebits dancing about like chorus girls from a Busby Berkely film. Each video is accompanied by a song from different bands including Nickleback, Blink 182 and Trapt. Being the senior member of the Kotaku staff (in age only mind you) I have no idea who any of those bands are with the exception of Blink 182 and the only thing I know about them is they have that guy with all the tattoos. Thank god I don't write for a music blog.

Make the jump for the other two videos.

<![CDATA[Clips: Bloody Prince Of Persia Commercial]]> I found this video posted on Gamevideos under "TV spots". It's what appears to be a fan made Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones commercial from the U.K., but I can't be too sure. It has a certain slickness to it that leads me to believe it might actually be real. Either way, it's pretty damn hilarious and it's definitely the most surprised I've ever been at the end of a commercial. And they worry about Rule of Rose?

<![CDATA[Fan Made Wii Commercial: Somebody Give This Guy A Job!]]> Fan made creations always range from the sublime to the ridiculous. This one definitely falls into the former category. This was made for the "Win a Wii" contest put on by Xataka.com and is based on the PS3 SIXAXIS ad with the eggs and the ravens. Bravo, ciclopez, we hope you won!

<![CDATA[Wind Waker Wii Mash Up Hilarity]]>

Okay, "hilarity" might be too strong a word, but after being impressed by the fan-made effort of the Wii wand making Link go Wind Waker wacky, I'll admit there was a slight titter near the end. Nice work, Dan Flynn, and thanks for the tip Hanibal.

<![CDATA[Can't Stop Those SNK Witch Pants from Materializing]]>

For latecomers: Next year, SNK is going to release a witch-hunt-touch game (just named a new sub-genre!) called Doki Doki Majo Saiban. Can't wait? Well, game site Insert Credit directs our attention to a sexed up, fan-made flash *rimshot* version. Doubt the SNK game will be this saucy, but this imagined version shows "Witch Check Mode." Click on the character's slash, but just know, that as hard as you try, you cannot take off the lady's underpants. Proving? She's a witch. Obviously.

<![CDATA[Stop The Stop Motion Katamari]]>

Namco's Katamari Damacy was one of those games that totally caught me off guard the first time I played it. I hadn't seen anything like it and was genuinely trying to figure out what the hizzy heck was going on. That took all of ten seconds. Then I was ready to move on and not have anything to do with the game. The same can be said about this fan-made stop motion clip. Though, ten seconds is being kind.

<![CDATA[Fan-Made Revolution Box Art]]> The Dark Knight

There is nothing official about the fan-made Revolution Box art at this LiveJournal. However, the box arts are officially cool. Nintendo should consider using the "blue energy line" theme (see image) as it provides a slick foil to Microsoft's "green ball of life." There's two more images after the jump, and make sure you check the links below for all of them.

Thanks Eddie for pointing us to Nintendo Gal.

<![CDATA[A Fanmade, 2D Halo Game]]> halo2d.jpg

At one point, people thought the 2D Halo game would be for a handheld — it turned out to be this, a fanmade Halo game in 2D. It looks pretty slick and has a bunch of modes and options. Now, if only Bungie would say something about Halo 3. The best part? It's a free download.

Thanks Kenton
