She's also a gamer, and a rocking gamer at that. The 45-year-old star of Nim's Island apparently plays the game with her children on a regular basis, using it to overcome her lack of natural musical ability.

"I have no musical ability. I tried in my life. I tried to learn the trumpet, that wasn't so good. The good thing about Guitar Hero is you can just (press the buttons and) go 'blue, green, green, green, blue, green, green...'"
Awww, isn't that sweet? She's one of us! It's enough to make me want to draw the blinds and watch Taxi Driver for 24 hours straight while cradling her picture in my arms, talking to myself under my breath.

<![CDATA[Matchbox 20 Guitarist Can't Handle Guitar Hero]]> Once again proving that playing the actual guitar and playing Guitar Hero are two entirely different skill sets, Matchbox 20 guitarist Kyle Cook reveals the shame of being a professional musician beaten by his little brother in a video game about being a professional musician.

My little brother, who doesn't play a lick of guitar, will just smoke me on that game. And I don't get it. A lot of the songs I know, because some of them are from my era, like "Sweet Child o' Mine" by Guns N' Roses. I'm like, "Dude, I know how to play that song (on a real guitar). How are you smokin' me on this game?" It's just tough for me. I think it's 'cause I'm a player; I can't get used to this little color-coded thing and looking at light beams coming at my head.
Funny, you'd figure a rock star would be used to light beams coming at their head by now.

<![CDATA[Dragonball Movie's Bulma On Gaming, Bunnies]]> 22 year-old Emmy Rossum isn't just the adorable actress picked to play Bulma in the Dragonball movie. She's also a bit of a gamer, and a blogger. Ooo, and she loves Wal-Mart! We have so much in common! While I get busy writing Mike+Emmy with little hearts all over my spiral notebook, take a look at an excerpt from her latest blog from the set in Durango, Mexico

. I've never been much of a video gamer, but I like the adventure games and the shooting games might help my hand/eye coordination for the gun sequences in the film. I picked up a few games not really knowing what I was buying and when I started playing one I realized I had picked up "Stranglehold" starring Chow Yun Fat! Based on the John Woo movie "Hard Boiled," the graphics are incredible, he jumps, flies and shoots in slow-mo, very John Woo, very cool. I feel a little shy to tell him I'm playing him on a video game, to tell him how cool it is!

Pretty nice random purchase if you ask me, considering one of her co-stars in the Dragonball film is Chow Yun Fat himself, who steps into the role of Master Roshi, the dirty old beach bum who just happens to be stronger than almost anyone on the planet.

As for the rest of Miss Rossum's blog? I suppose you could read through it if you wanted to - I mean it's not like you're doing anything important right now anyway. Aside from a few nifty insights into the making of the movie, this is pretty much what you've got to look forward to:

I suppose I should mention I had a pet rabbit for a week when I was 6. I was the lucky one (when my name was chosen out of the hat) in school to take the class pet rabbit home for a week. Mom was not too thrilled to have "Peter Rabbit" running around our apartment. Even I will admit Peter was pretty messy, but I really loved little Peter Rabbit, and I named him after the great children's book written by Beatrix Potter. Did you read that book growing up? It was one of my favorites.
OMG! Me too! This is so weird! You guys go check out her blog, I am going to write her a lengthy email about how awesome bunnies are.

<![CDATA[James Bond Addicted To Gaming]]> Daniel Craig isn't just the closest an actor has ever come to fitting Ian Fleming's original vision for James Bond - he's also an avid gamer, with the same issues many a gamer faces. Issues like trying to find time to play Halo with his unappreciative girlfriend breathing down his neck. Of course his girlfriend is hottie film producer Satsuki Mitchell, but fundamentally it's the same thing.

"I have to pick my time well. If my girlfriend sees the box then it's all over. If I get some free time, when she goes away for the weekend, I'll go and play some games.
This is why gamer guys make the best boyfriends, ladies. When you leave your gamer alone for any extended period of time - even if he's an internationally famous sex-symbol - he's not going to cheat unless he has a Game Shark. Sure we sometimes forget you're there, but once we get to a save point it's on!
