It was buggy as all when I was in the beta. If it's anything like that still, it has no chance of surviving. Not to mention it's kind of a bad idea to launch around the same time a much bigger game is.

It's a shame really, the core gameplay was pretty fun and had a lot of potential. Probably something worth checking out next year if the game is still alive.

@Trepie: Yeah. A buggy MMO at launch is going to fail! ... wait.

People can forgive bugs, they can't forgive boredom. If you can keep them interested despite the bugs, the game is going to do fine.

That said, I haven't actually played the game.

They picked one BAD day to launch an MMO, the same day as Aion. "Who are the wizards that came up with this one?" Prepare to be humbled.

I was pretty disappointed with the beta. Nothing felt tight. The world was bland (yes, I know, it's post apocalyptic, but Fallout had a rich and detailed world) and everything felt....5 years ago. Hard to describe, but it definitely wasn't anywhere near finished...felt like an alpha build during open beta.

But seriously, Ive already played so much of it, and they still require 15$ a month to play.

Too many hours invested into a single character in Fallout 3 to be able to handle another game of that scope anytime soon.

1st Person shooters almost always suck Bioshock and a few others broke that rule but other then that FPS RPGs don't sell anymore in fact every time they release one it goes in the bargain bin next month.

The two major reasons why Western RPGs picked up was

    1) They stopped focusing on 1st Person RPGs hell some of them added the 3rd person option in which most people prefer even though it has bad controls.

    2) Japanese Game Makers completely changed RPGs from focusing on stories to dungeon crawlers

I wonder, if I could buy a video card that was just able to produce the colors gray and brown, could I save money? Seeing as modern games don't use the rest of the color spectrum, why bother paying for something I'm not using?

We can all rest assured that the apocalypse will happen. In fact, it's always going to happen. Will it ever have happened? Doubtful, but it's definitely going to at some point, for sure.
