The Thinning Video Game Fall Of 2009 |

I guess the one exception is the New Super Mario game. I'm always on the lookout for good multiplayer. Most of my friends aren't gamers, so I want games that they can get into and that I don't find boring. I think they all played Mario as kids, so that might be a good one.
If anyone has any other recommendations, please throw them my way. Rock Band was good, but that's getting a bit old. I get bored of Wii Sports and Mario Party (The Wii one is awful). People lost interest in tetris party because I beat them too easily. I didn't like Boom Blox. I was thinking about getting Dokapon Kingdom, but I'm not sure how non-gamers would feel about the RPG elements. I also have a PS3 with 2 controllers. I would get 4 if it was worth it though.

I for one am grateful that this fall will not have as many big titles like last year. Not only was on the pricey side, but it got to the point that everytime I was getting into a game a new one was released that I was equally looking forward to. And the result was a whole lot of unfinished games piling up. I still have not gotten around to finishing all the games I bought in 2008. Which is kinda good since this summer has been barren with a few exceptions.

Everything else can wait.
Edit: Oh, and the Metroid Prime Thrilogy for sure!.

On the other hand, if (maybe? maybe??? please????) StarCraft II comes out by the end of the year, that's probably the only game I will be playing for quite some time. Sigh.

I really don't need to type my list because your list is basically identical. :)

I just hope that this dissolves the Holiday Rush Problem, instead of just shifting it. If we have 30 great titles released in January instead of November, the issue still stands.

I am pretty sure the decision was geared more towards fine tuning the game, not sales.
The only game that is delayed to escape competition so far IIRC is Singularity by Activision, so that it doesnt coincide with MW2's release.
Also by Activision.

now, 2010 - heavy rain (presumably), Alan Wake, Max Payne 3, Last Guardian, Bioshock 2...that's a lineup.

Also, I don't see anything wrong with the release list this fall. How can you go wrong with Dragon Age, AC2, MarioWii, Brutal Legend etc.?

Then again, I'll probably lock myself in my room with Dragon Age until I've finished it, so I won't need anything else until then.
