Luigi has always been my favorite. I dunno, I've always liked the second-best/second-in-command/underdog characters. It's like they're the ones no one goes after, but they have the ability to compete.
In the chase of Luigi, Bowser is never after him. Bowser never goes after Daisy, though that's probably because Daisy would put up a fight. Though Mario does pretty much get all the attention, Luigi is at least able to live a normal life and be a Mario Brother.
Luigi needs another game! Maybe something like Bowser Jr. does kidnap Daisy after how Peach is constantly being saved by Mario. Bowser Jr. thinks it'll be easy as pie, but Luigi's inner strength awakens!
@N●Gage Croal: @N●Gage Croal: I think that's a little late to the party, Birdo's post-op. (In America. Pre-op in Japan, if I remember my Captain Rainbow correctly.)
I think this projecting of non-heteronormative orientations on Mario characters is getting far too silly. Until it's outright said, these are merely amusing winks and nudges from the developers. (Hey, it makes the fans talk.)
@N●Gage Croal: Nah, I got it. The problem is, I don't think Birdo is one in Japan. At least according to Captain Rainbow. Still only a Transvestite in that.
I think it was more a case of Peasley being just THAT suave and debonair than Luigi feeling "confused." Either way, I've liked Luigi more than Mario for a while, just because he has so much more personality. I'd like to see him get his own game again sometime soon.
I like the idea of luigi as effeminate. Mostly because I like the idea of Daisy as his hag and of her being paired with Waluigi, who I love more than Luigi.
@WhiteMåge: The link up there in the article that says "multiplayer" leads to a previous article about Spirit Tracks multiplayer mode where you play as one of each of the four colored Links from Four Swords.... sure it wasn't really the topic of this particular article, but it's in the game somewhere anyway. :)
@fearing: Still misleading as hell. Those links are referencing four swords, I don't think a single personw ould see that and think "Oh, Zelda spirit tracks!"
@WhiteMåge: No, the link within the article, in the second paragraph, leads directly to an article about Spirit Tracks multiplayer mode, which I believe the picture in this article is from, which plays similar to Four Swords multiplayer. Not too big a deal, just sayin, I think it DOES have that style multiplayer in it judging by the linked article.
@fearing: I know that, I mean the picture itself is misleading regardless, as those links drawn in that style with those colors are the four swords links. The multiplayer mode is referencing four swords, so that art looks like four swords art.
Gah. The one game I really wanted to play on the Gamecube but couldn't was Four Swords.
It was rare enough to find people that had GameBoy advance, let alone 4 with cables and all.
Now that I do know some people who has DSs, they replaced the cooperative mode?
Sometimes I think the world is just trying to fuck with me.
This is better than the UK adverts for the game: where they paid some guy who has probably never played a Super Mario game in his life, to sit in a white living room on a grey sofa and talk about how amazingly nostalgic the game is...badly!

Then there was the penguin in Thousand Year Door that thought Mario was Luigi. That was funny.

Though I'll admit, they're pretty similar. Still, there was just an article today that revealed multiplayer, which is one of the links.
You can always check out Gametrailers for some multiplayer videos too.

I wonder if Jumbo Cactuar will make it in the game as an Eidolon...
