The space combat game features single player missions taken from important moments in the new series as well as three different multiplayer modes: skirmish, domination, and firefight. Up to 8 players can take to the spaceways in any of four human or four Cylon ships, each with unique capabilities and weapons. If space combat isn't your thing there's always Exit, the Xbox Live Arcade version of the PSP puzzle game that puts you in the shoes of Mr. ESC, a hero who rescues people from disastrous situations and then puts them to work in solving any of 120 stages, with more promised with future updates. I'll be getting BG myself, as I've been a slave to space combat since Privateer, Wing Commander's spunky younger brother hit back in 1993. Both games will set you back 800 Microsoft points and will be available early Wednesday morning, as per usual.

<![CDATA[Exit Leaves PSP For Xbox Live Arcade]]> Taito's PSP puzzle platformer Exit is heading to Xbox Live Arcade according to a report from IGN. Revealed in the latest issue of Famitsu Weekly is the hi-def port of the original Exit with bonus content for Xbox 360 owners. It's due to hit this summer, just before the PSP sequel ships in the fall.

Frankly, I'm shocked that Taito didn't crap out an updated port of Space Invaders first. It's like I don't even know them anymore.

<![CDATA[What Are You Playing This Weekend?]]> Bad news, folks. You won't have me to kick around next week. Tomorrow, I head to sunny Ireland for a week's worth of heavy vacationing, basking in the glorious sunny weather typical of Dublin in March. Don't worry. I'm bringing my sunblock. Plus, I'm bringing games!

When not out lounging by the pool at the Four Seasons, pina colada in hand, I'll be making time with any number of portable games I'll have on hand. From Mario Vs. Donkey Kong 2 to Brain Age to Trauma Center, I'll be making sweet gaming music with my Nintendo DS. If I feel like mixing it up, maybe I'll throw in some Exit for the PSP. Maybe I'll even remember to bring my copy of Diablo II, dispatching all manner of hellspawn while my body processes gallons of fresh Guinness.

Pity the other Kotaku editors, as they'll have to pick up the blogging slack in my absence. But enough about us. What have you got planned for the weekend? Hit the comments and let us know.

<![CDATA[Games of the Week: Can't Find Exit Edition]]> Hey! Tekken is coming out for the PSP. That's as exciting as it's going to get. Here's what's new and notable for the week of July 23, minus the usual licensed crap.

Tekken: Dark Resurrection (PSP)
The portable port of Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection is reviewing quite well, thank you. New characters, same proven Tekken gameplay. The fighting game PSP owners have been waiting for.

Painkiller: Hell Wars (Xbox)
The Xbox gets a bit of life support with this Xbox version of the hellacious FPS. Hot Havok based physics, too.

Civilization IV: Warlords (PC)
I'm not a Civ player, so let's let the marketing types take over: "New civilizations, leaders, units, and wonders that will offer even more fun and exciting ways for players to expand their civilization's military power as they strive for world domination."

CivCity: Rome (PC)
Cut from the official site: "An innovative city builder inspired by the world of Sid Meier's Civilization, and created by a collaboration between Firefly Studios and Firaxis Games, invites players to shift focus from building a multi-city empire and zoom-in on the great cities of the Roman Empire, culminating in Rome itself!"

Alright kids, I'm gonna see if I can hunt down a cheap copy of Exit and work my way through Half-Life 2 Episode I. What are you picking up this week?

<![CDATA[Exit & Ridge Racer Get PSP Sequels... Why?]]>

The latest issue of Famitsu says that two of my personal PSP favorites (Ridge Racer and Exit) will get getting sequels. Exit will get some slight tweaks and new levels, while Ridge Racer will be more of the same. The release date is September 14th, and Namco says RR is about 70% done. I enjoy both these games immensely, but I'm not sure that either PSP games really merit a sequel. Easy money, sure, but should that creative energy be directed else where? Or rather, could that creative energy be directed elsewhere please?

<![CDATA[Getting Up, Getting Out, Getting Full]]> I realize you probably have a lot on your mind this week; planning dates, buying flowers, watching Runaway Bride for the 10th time. But don't forget about this week's notable releases! Games so good, you might be fooled into thinking it's not the slow season. Here's what's notable and new for the third week of February.

EXIT (PSP)
Taito's stylish action-strategy game puts you in the role of Mr. Escape, professional escape artist guiding victims in peril from disastrous situations.

Full Auto (Xbox 360)
Sega's next-gen racer with crazy desctruction, lotsa weapons and time rewind helps fill out the dry 360 release schedule.

Marc Ecko's Getting Up: Contents Under Pressure (PS2, Xbox)
Marc's first foray into gaming follows the path of a grafitti loving thug who must get up, get in, and get more sales for Ecko Unltd. sweatshirts.

Grandia III (PS2)
It's Square-Enix and Game Arts, so it's an RPG. What more do you need to know? Expect lots of world saving, dialogue reading, and hours in front of the TV.

<![CDATA[PSP's Killer App: Porn]]> It can also play music and games too

Forget dual screens and touch pens, Sony's portable is being powered by dirty vids. Shorty after the PSP hit the street, UMD porn began popping up all over the place. Thing is, it didn't stop.

So, just how bad has it gotten? The digipic above says, "Watch Adult UMD on the PSP" (PSP de mireru!! Adaruto UMD). Below that in small letters, it says, "We also have PSP units" (PSP hontai mo arimasu). In order to watch that UMD porn, you gotta have a PSP, right? Makes perfectly good sense. Yeah. Right. Ugh.

Recently, Sony's released a couple fantastic titles (take Exit, for example), so it's kinda sad to see the unit reduced to pimping porn or soiled by that ever-popular graffiti campaign.

<![CDATA[Brain Training Meets Prince of Persia]]>

We've reported on this many times before, but Gamebrink has a fan review up of an odd looking Playstation Portable game called Exit. The import is a puzzler featuring classic Prince of Persia type play. You have to figure out how to rescue people before the time runs out. The reviewer compares it to Brain Training, but says it s not as esoteric. Ashcraft was also raving about the game, and it sounds like it is worth a try.

<![CDATA[Kewl EXIT TV Spot]]> Carefully placed hat

Exit is a PSP title to get excited about. I've had several hands on with the software on different occasions, and I've always walked away from the game with a silly smirk on me face. Exit offers pleasantly simple thrills and good fun. While it sometimes seems that Sony's PSP commercials are better than the software, the Exit advert actually has a promising game behind it.

<![CDATA[EXIT Images Look Dang Good]]> ESC is one my keyboard, too. Wow.

Game Watch has a buncha new screens up for the upcoming PSP title, Exit. In this puzzle-slash-action game, yer Mr. ESC and you must help people escape from dangerous places by locating keys and getting them to the nearest exit. The game debuted at this year's Tokyo Game Show and is a knockout. The blocky, comic book graphics would look right at home on a Nintendo Dual Screen. Just when everyone's given up on PSP's software, it's good to see there's a winner in the pipeline. Screens after the jump.
