I might have to squeeze out for the pack just to get the Path and Crayon Physics. Already have World of Goo and Audiosurf, but it being Steam, can I give them as gifts?
@Karlott: Seems like it only works with Valve's games. Which is a damn shame, especially because you'd be depriving someone of one of those two great games in particular.
I shelled out, even though I already had Audiosurf. I'm rather disappointed that you can't give away extra copies of games you already own, unless I missed something. I remember doing that with Halflife 2 Ep. 1 a while back... Oh well. Maybe I'll send an email to them and see about that.
Really looking forward to Braid and Darwinia, though I suspect I'll like the others as well. Plus, most of those games will run on my netbook, which to be honest is about 75% of the reason why I got them.
@nzV: I was forced into buying that game when Steam refused a refund and would only give me a credit for a game purchase which would not load for anyone, locking up computers by disabling any keyboard command to break away such as Ctrl-Alt-Del in the process. I played Defense Grid once and "shelved" it. I'm sure it's a nice game, but nothing about it immediately grabbed me to go on with it. :/
I feel like a complete steam fanboy (almost understanding the stupidity of console fanboys).
I mean I see the steam deal (which I own most of the games in) and the Direct2Drive one (which I would rather buy), but I just have to say 'No!'. The D2D one is so tempting but I have such a large steam library that I must dedicate valve my support, I might even buy all those games again! If something was to happen to steam and and it Was to close down I would be devastated.
I think I'll go and think up some insults for D2D users so I can justify my steam purchases. Then I'll cry. And then I must unremember that sweet, sweet deal lest I be tempted.
@simplyPARTICLE: Yeah the D2D one isn't too bad, but I've got so many Steam games I don't really feel like getting 5 random games on another service just floating about willy nilly.
Arg. Such an amazing sale, but I'd be lying if I said I wouldn't kick myself for rebuying stuff I've already bought, especially since the only game of note to me on that list missing from my library is Crayon Physics Deluxe. Braid could be worth it for the level editor though. I'd never bother with it, but I suppose the community will make it worth it.
Hmm. Got Braid on the 360 and World of Goo on PC already... is $30 for those other titles on Steam worth it?
I must admit I was intrigued by Darwinia and Mr Robot... Yeah, it's still probably worth it. Where's my credit card at?
@the-hypnotoad: I personally didn't care for Mr. Robot. There's a reason the isometric view platform/puzzle genre died out. It was not a very good gimmick in the first place and we have real 3D now. Then the RPG elements in Mr. Robot just felt tacked on.
