I'm interested in seeing how this turns out. I've actually been wanting to have some more Call of Duty experiences-- I loved United Offensive for the PC, and it's nice to be able to use a controller for it (much as I like some mouse and keyboard action sometimes)... now, if Criterion would just announce Burnout Takedown HD Remix, I'd be blissed and gone.
Wow. That's something you don't hear much anymore.
My PC snob brother swears this is the "best one." Modern Warfare? Just an afterthought, according to Matt (my brother). I've yet to play it, which drives him nutty. I don't know if he'll be happy or mad if I play it my first time on a *gasp* console *shudder*.
@Gyaruson: No... I was going for the bad joke. Read it again. It popped into my mind and I really liked the bad joke so I kinda had to shoehorn it in. In retrospect it looks lamer, but at the time it looked really funny.
I didn't actually mean it should be free. Sorry. Cool?
Porting a 6 year old game to the consoles makes you go 'ugh' how?
Face it dude. PC gaming is out, Consoles are in.
Give it 10-15 years, if I were a betting man, I'd say consoles will go out, handhelds will be king. Just like consoles pretty much caught up with PC's, sooner or later, handhelds are gonna catch up with consoles.
Do you want to live in a world where consoletards reign supreme, a world where paying for DLC, yelling into the mic incomprehensibly, oversimplified RTS games, and complete restriction of modding is considered common?
I think of the PC like a free, anarchistic middle eastern sector. Hella fun to do whatever you like in, but doesn't get much support from the western powers.
A console is like North America. You get some pretty awesome shit, but sometimes, gotta play by some bullshit rules. And oh yeah. No making up your own rules.
I love the PC as much as you, dude. But lets face it.
Bittorrent, piracy and mmos ruined PC gaming. PC games might sell, but nowhere near the way they used to, and devs normally look to consoles now to make a profit.
Definitely buying this, I played the original on a crappy PC years ago and it'll be great to relive some of what made the series so great in the first place. Awesome news.
Well, actually I was going for the Mile High Club reference in CoD4. I know it's from airplane, but it all seemed to tie together quite nicely. That, and an Office reference would be too hard to slide in - BINGO!

Why not just call the article "Original Call Of Duty Coming To Everything but Wii", saves you some time.

Why on earth would they make it free? Do they owe it to you, or something? It's a game, and gamers pay for said games. It's called capitalism.

Fuck Kapitalism. ;)

I really do miss the mod community though. :(

Surely you can't be serious.
I am serious....and don't call me Shirley.
