I put out a call for folks to send in any that they found and Kotakuite, External Gazer got right on and emailed us a picture of the numbers which we did not have before. So there it is in all it's easer eggy glory. If anyone finds any more, be sure to send them our way!

<![CDATA[ LOST Found In Half-Life 2 ]]> Apparently, the design team working on Half-Life Episode 2 are fans of the ABC TV show, Lost. This morning I received an email from Kotakuite p00pzilla with this screenshot clearly showing a symbol on the wall that mimics the logo of Lost's Dharma Initiative. Now add to this the email I received yesterday from another Kotakuite saying he had seen Lost's mysterious string of numbers, "4 8 15 16 23 42" on a CRT computer screen in a blocked off room of the game's second level. Unfortunately he didn't include a screenshot so I had to let it go by, but now with this corroborating evidence, it's clear that the HL2 team is slipping in references to a favorite show. Has anyone else found Lost references n HL2? if so, be sure to send in a screenshot so we can add it to the dossier.

<![CDATA[ AP Coins New Easter Egg Definition ]]>

The Associated Press has a pretty interesting story up about the latest twist in in-game advertising, turning Easter Eggs into ads.

While I like the story and it's pretty fleshed out, I just can't get past this fun little sentence:

In many games, players who enter the top-secret "cheat code" could become invisible, get unlimited ammunition or play in an all-powerful God mode. Or they'd play for hours until discovering brightly decorated circles or balls - known as Easter eggs - that unlocked bonus points, monster-slaying swords, extra lives or infinite health.

Oh, what the hell just happened there? Seriously, is that for real? I actually had to read it like three times. That has got to be, absolutely got to be an editor adding something to Rachel's story.

<![CDATA[ Clips: Rainbow Six Vegas Blooper Easter Egg ]]>

I'm not sure how I feel about this video. On the one hand it's in-your-face in-game advertising for Axe. On the other hand, it's pretty damn funny and not really that intrusive.

<![CDATA[ Clips: The Gears of War Toilet Man ]]>

Today's pointless video clip of the day, and I can't promise it will be the only one, is this little gem of an easter egg from Gears of War. Apparently there is a "secret" dead toilet man on the Rooftops map.

You can see him by looking into the windows outside the map next to the building where the Hammer of Dawn is located or you can use the "Control the Camera when Dead" glitch or you could just raise your eyeballs slightly and click on the sideways triangle in that box up there.

<![CDATA[ Halo 3 Trailer Easter Egg? ]]>

There's supposedly an Easter Egg in the Halo 3 E3 trailer. Although we like the Halo series loads and have even read the Eric S. Nylund books (although covertly position within the spine of Milan Kundera's The Unbearable Lightness of Being), we have to admit that we're not quite fanatic enough to spot what the easter egg actually is. The Bungie.net forums hint that it may be the wobbling road sign, which is a Grunt Crossing sign (implying perhaps that Earth has made piece with the Covenant), or that Cortana's voice has been mixed with some Gravemind sampling. Anyone else got any better theories?
