He'll be on hand during the show to sign autographs, conduct demonstrations, take on challengers, and maybe - just maybe - deliver one of his trademark sly smiles.

“There is no one else in the video game industry quite like Fatal1ty and we’re thrilled he’s returning to E for All,” said Mary Dolaher, Chief Executive Officer of IDG World Expo, the leading producer of world-class tradeshows and events around the globe. “He’ll bring much excitement and attention to the show and we’re eager to see him interact with the fans, which is what he does best.”

I had always assumed gaming was what he did best, but there you go. Are there actually people out there who would go to E for All specifically to meet this guy? I can understand going for the games, the camaraderie, the excitement, and perhaps the games again, but just to meet a guy with a number in his name that doesn't rap? I just don't see it.

<![CDATA[Microsoft Signs On For E For All 08]]> The E For All Expo got off to a somewhat rocky start last year with relatively low attendance following the decision to hold the event the same weekend as Penny Arcade's PAX event, but things are looking up for the 2008 show already. They've got their own weekend (Oct. 3-5), and now Microsoft has thrown in their hat as an exhibitor. IDG World Expo CEO and mouthpiece Mary Dolaher is ecstatic.

“Microsoft’s presence at the 2008 event will help us build on the great success of last year’s inaugural E for All event, and will further our goal of building an exciting and cutting-edge event that brings the best and newest games to gamers of all types. We look forward to a terrific 2008 event, and to having the opportunity to bring even more great game products to the great gamers who attend E for All.”

Last year Microsoft passed on the first E For All, so this early sign of support casts a very encouraging light of hope on the event's second year. Dolaher promises more participants will be announced in the coming weeks.

<![CDATA[Nintendo, Sony Hitting E for All Expo]]>

Gamasutra is reporting that both Nintendo and Sony have signed up to make some showing at the upcoming E For All Expo.

E4A is widely believed to be the public, spiritual successor to the old E3 and will be held in late October at the LA convention center.

According to exhibitor information passed on to Gamasutra, both Nintendo and Sony have planned large booth presences at the event - though, since the event is currently limited to the LACC's South Hall, the two will maintain smaller spaces than in previous E3 exhibitions.

Based on the exhibitor list, last modified on March 6th and relatively early in the selling cycle for the show, some of the remaining booths are currently reserved by companies such as IDG Entertainment itself, Future Publishing, G4 and TechTV, DirecTV, and the World Series of Video Games Tournament.

The Gamasutra story also has some information about the contract required for exhibitors including the fact that it prohibits anything that is sexually provocative and has restrictions on noise levels.

<![CDATA[IDG Picks Gamer Expo Name]]> Back in November IDG announced a contest to name their new gamer Expo, the spiritual successor to E3 for fans. While I was perfectly happy with the name GamePro Expo, IDG felt they needed something that was less theirs, more ours. Today they've announced the winning name. The E for All Expo.

More than 3000 entries were submitted on GamePro.com. The winning entry was proposed by California resident Dante Padre, who has won a trip to the E For All Expo for his submission Padre explained his inspiration behind the E for All Expo name, saying that "this show seems to be about inviting everyone to participate...they even asked gamers to create the name."
Ravers from across the country have already lined up outside the LA Convention Center with binkies and glow sticks, hoping to score some E once the show opens in mid-October of this year.
