This teaser image popped up on the DC Universe Online MySpace page yesterday, along with a bit of overly-obvious teaser text: "I just saw the poster that we're giving out at San Diego Comic-Con and people will be "clawing" to get it." Subtle.

I'll be sure to have McWhertor add this poster to the annual list of Comic-Con exclusive merchandise he forgets to pick up for me.

<![CDATA[Video Games Aren't Real Life, Even For NASCAR Drivers]]> Most of us out there who have played a racing game for any period time have fantasized about being in the game while we're driving real cars, but the important thing is that we don't act on such fantasies. Tell that to NASCAR driver Carl Edwards, who attempted to defeat rival and two-time Sprint Cup champion Jimmie Johnson by...purposefully bouncing his car off a concrete wall.

"I planned on hitting the wall, but I didn't plan on the wall slowing me down that much," Edwards said. "In video games, you can just run into the wall and run it wide open. That's what I did, but it didn't quite work out the same as the video game."

*rubs temples* Oh my head. How are we supposed to keep our children from setting people on fire when their role-models decide that driving at top speeds on a crowded raceway is a good time to see how accurate the physics in GRID are?

<![CDATA[Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops Sequel? Duh!]]> You really needn't be sitting down for this news. Instead, just go on about your daily life and expect that Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops sequel for the PSP, just like you probably were before you read this post.

Ryan Payton, assistant producer for the Kojima Productions game and host of The Kojima Productions Report, told the folks at PSM that: "If [Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops is] successful on the retail level there will definitely be a sequel."

See how easy that was? All everyone had to do was buys tons of copies of the game! And since that requirement has already been fulfilled, I'm sure the Kojima Productions team is already hard at work. I mean, if they'll do a sequel to Metal Gear AC!D, not to mention making 3-D goggles, they'll do just about anything. Thanks for doing your part, game buying public!

<![CDATA[PS2 Prison Porn a No-No]]> wakefieldprison.jpg

Prisoners at Wakefield Prison have been doing more than getting their game on with the PlayStation 2. Seems that they've been using it to watch dirty movies. Prison Governor Dave Thompson told The Yorkshire Evening Post:

There was a time when we allowed access to the PlayStation 1 and they were later replaced by the PlayStation 2 machines. When it became clear that they could be used to play DVDs which included pornographic material we removed them all.

This is becoming clear now? Can't wait to see how long it takes these clever officials that the PSP is a fountain of UMD porn.
