Now! If you sit through the (incredibly long) flash video on the teaser site you will see the announcement, together with the Famitsu Weekly logo and the date 9.26.

So, it looks like there will be a proper unveiling next week, but of what? The NeoGAF forum folks seem to think that the 'Dragon' domain name and the music in the flash movie point to a Dragon Force remake, but that music — go-to music man Yuzo Koshiro is said to be involved — as sounds a bit too retro for a Saturn game.

<![CDATA[Dragonforce Song Pack Due Next Month For Guitar Hero III]]> As above. There's a notice on Roadrunner Records' site announcing that a Dragonforce song pack will be released for Guitar Hero III on August 21. It'll contain three songs: "Heroes Of Our Time", "Operation Ground And Pound" and "Revolution Deathsquad". And...yeah. Dragonforce. What, did your dog eat your Slayer song pack, Neversoft?

<![CDATA[Dragonforce's Guitar Hero III Finger Mangler]]>

The ScoreHero gang gives us the exclusive first look at Dragonforce's hyperspeed metal hit "Through the Fire and the Flames" for Guitar Hero III. It doesn't seem that unlikely that your fingers may just snap off within the first minute.

<![CDATA[How To: Play Custom Guitar Hero Tracks]]> Tired of the stock jams available to you in Guitar Hero II? If you aren't yet aware, making your own Guitar Hero tracks, from any song, is not far out of reach. Those looking for a bloodied finger, near impossible challenge like the one below (Dragonforce's "Fury of the Storm") should read on.

One of the posters at the ScoreHero forums put the finishing touches on a handy guide for playing authentic songs from AC/DC, Metallica or other oft-requested bands in Guitar Hero II. He calls it "idiot proof" but that doesn't mean it won't take up some of your precious time.

In addition to a half-dozen or so freeware programs required, you'll also need a PS2 capable of playing burned discs. And that's for you to figure out.

<![CDATA[The Ultimate Ultimate Mortal Kombat Kombo Video]]>

Some of this looks a little... suspect to me (some of those jump kicks happen way fast, as does that double-time Nightwolf shoulder), but I'll admit it's been a few years since I tried to play Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 with anything but a keyboard. Still, it should give those of you still wailing away on Xbox Live something to strive for. Can you recreate these combos, eliciting an epic string of obscenities and racial epithets from your opponent?

Come for the combos, stay for the Dragonforce power solos!

<![CDATA[Dragon Force - Insane Shredding Combos!]]>

Sorry, Saturn fans. This is NOT a post about the excellent turn-based SRPG Dragon Force, but a quick diversion for fans of the speed metal cheeseball shredders from across the pond. Upping the cheese factor once again amidst all the lightning quick squealing of guitars and vocals, Dragon Force does their famous picture-in-picture soloing, but this time with a fighting-game schtick. It's impressive how the effects go from average to laughable during this portion of the video.

Oh, Dragon Force. You are my guilty pleasure!

Thanks for the tip, Henry.
