Cool, i'll look forward to not buying part 2, and carrying on with my brethern on the original. And for the record books, Gabe Newell is fat fuck, completely unsocial, and looks like Peter Griffins retarded brother. Fat fuck
I'm so sorry I forgot our anniversary. And incidently, committed adultery on the night of the forgotten anniversary, with your younger sister... Here's some petrol-station flowers and Maltesers, please don't leave me.
@Perfectnumpty: So you guys complain about Valve "abandoning" L4D for L4D2, then you complain when they promise they're going to support it. And then you, in particular, compare it to adultery.
Sorry, that's one of my favorite moments from Futurama and you reminded me off it =D
@Firelance: I think it's safe to assume that it will be free - I mean, the survival pack contained a reasonably large and meaty amount of content, and that was free. I think Valve's policy of free DLC applies to the 360 now as well, in the case of L4D.
@Komrade Kayce - Hero of Soviet Kotaku: What if you just want to do something else? I'm all for tagging rage-quitters, but it will be really hard do differentiate between bored people and rage-quitters.
I like L4D a lot, but sometimes I just want to something else. And then I quit and do something else. I don't want to be afraid of what's gonna happen if I simply stop playing the game, without rage.
A game campaign only takes 20-40 minutes to complete and is usually on the shorter side.
Don't start jumping into a game if you're all 'oh, I might want to play something else in five minutes'. Teams trying to survive would rather cpu it in that case.
@MrThunderfield: Aside from the obvious lack of anger, I don't see a difference in rage quitting and betting bored, leaving in the middle of a game. It's still inconsiderate to the people you're playing with.
Don't start playing with people if it's something that bored you quickly

The gaming community sounds better off with someone like you left behind, anyhow.
Thank you.

Melee weapons like we saw in the L4D2 videos would be cool.

Ugh.

I wouldn't call this an announcement, more like a simple heads up.

Dukakis loves to kick zombie ass.

It was so surreal, almost like some kind of zombie movie...

But seriously. The rage-quitting thing. I hate you fucking guys, learn to play, please.

Proper etiquette, online and off, demands that you let people know when you're leaving.
You say "Hey guys, I gotta go." and then you go.
If you're playing Monopoly and you get up and leave without saying a word, it's rude and people think you're upset. Same thing goes for online games.
