I was there.

I was there when Doomsday was an unstoppable killing machine who went to the ultimate "Double KO" with Superman, could take on the Justice League by himself...and, hell, could have ripped off the Hulk's head and shit down his neck.

...last time I saw him he appeared to be a bit smaller, was talking, and Superman beat his ass by himself.

This had better be the former version.

@KaneRobot:To be fair, Doomsday fought against the B-list Justice League in the comics at the time, but that's not to say he wasn't a bad ass, when he landed on Darkseid's planet, he tore the hell out of that place and beat the crap out of Darkseid in hand to hand combat.

As for talking, part of his super power is that he's got Reactive adaptation/evolution and he was smart due to this. He's lost it though.

@Glitchigo: Different Universe, Spider-Man being Marvel, but we can't have the entire user-base being Batman. It would ruin the experience, from what I've read the game is going to be along the lines of City of Heroes, in that you'll see 'famous' super heroes, and have to battle super villains during story arcs.

Their levelling system also seems to be vastly superior to that of City of Heroes. I believe Edge had a fairly in-depth Q&A with the developers about how things were planned to work, might be worth having a look around for it.

Too bad thanks to laughably bad writing, Doomsday is little more then a shock-trooper to get beat up by Supes at least three times a year within whatever current story arc they shoe-horn him into. And that's only if they can make him fit, christ he didn't even show up in Final Crisis.

They need to just have him switch sides along with Magog as they've already foretold was going to happen.

@Syrax pressed the Turbo button:Nope, because even if Apocalypse or Galactus killed him, he would just come back and wipe the floor with them. Think of Sanjins, but with Doomsday whatever kills him makes him stronger.

And Darkseid would murder Apocalypse.

Still not too big on the whole MMO thing, but if they make this as fun as City of Heroes was, I don't see how I can pass up at least giving it a shot.

Please give us a beta or a free trial, Sony. Please. Put it out through QORE if you have to.

@Archaotic: Depending on the price structure this could be my first MMO. I am not looking forward to MMO fee's for consoles at all. Games like FIFA09 are very MMO and they don't charge a monthly subscription. I don't want to start paying subscriptions for games like this which are basically, Superman with a create your character.

Still though - looks great.
