MK vs. DC was teased in the same way. I visited Midway HQ and saw the list of heroes/villains in the game, and I was told to keep it quiet. Yeah, like no one could have figured out that Wonder Woman would have been in the game...

What I'm wondering about all this is why Sony feels the need to tease the inclusion of certain characters. Did Doomsday really need his own trailer? No. But we keep getting these major, pivotal DC characters teased like it's a surprise, instead of them showing off people we might NOT expect to be in the game...

I guess I just don't get the point in it. We all knew Catwoman would be in the game, it's not like she's one of Batman's longest-running rivals or anything.

@Black-Dog-Howls: Really? Doomsday is a useless character. He has no depth and no personality to speak of. He's the definition of "throwaway boss fight", regardless of whether or not he managed to kill Superman 10 years ago.

Darkseid would deserve his own trailer. Doomsday? Hell no.

@Archaotic: I am just waiting for the Booster Gold trailer... if ANYONE deserves a trailer it is Booster Gold.

Seriously though I just want to know if I can be a Lantern ... with the current Lantern storyline it would be awesome to have an orange power ring!

@mister5000: You see, I could dig a Booster Gold trailer. He's not a big, well-known character (well, compared to Supes or Bats), but people love him. Not to mention they could do something fun and goofy with it, as opposed to "GUESS WHO'S IN THE GAME THAT YOU ALREADY KNEW WAS GOING TO BE IN IT!"

Seriously. They did a press release announcing that The Flash was in DCUO. The Flash. What's next, an animated TV movie announcing Aquaman being in the game?

I don't think you can be any of the actual DC heroes. You have to make your own, and support or go against DCs super heroes and villains.

I thought it was a neat story arc when Doomsday developed true sentience and had to deal with the emotions of remorse, love, and kindness. It turned him into a completely different character which was more developed and interesting.

Then DC had to fuck it up and turn him back into a mindless monster.

@Archaotic: It will be interesting to see if they can fit Aquaman into the game. Granted, he is a DC stalwart but is there going to be a water world in the game itself? I guess Aquaman isn't COMPLETELY useless on the land but he is pretty damn close!

I don't think the lips belong to Catwoman though, I think I have uncovered the mystery!!!
