you can play any of the campaigns in any order, sorry you couldn't take the time to click and find out. Seems like a game reviewer you would have at least tried. This is the best 10 bucks spent on the wiiware right now if you have all the other great titles...

@James Ramirez: We've got a string of big winners these days... FF4TAY, S&S and now Eduardo the Samurai Toaster (which reminds me of something I used to play on neo geo arcade, but don't remember what...)

I hope this continues. WiiWare is shaping up nicely.

I own it, and I am fairly sure that you can actually play the campaigns before they are "unlocked." They're greyed out, yes, but you can still select them.

Um I don't know what your talking about. I own the game and in the campaign the other races are blacked out but if you select them you can play them without having to play the viking campaign at all. I totally skipped the Aztecs and went straight to China. I plan on doing Aztec last. Game is great and fun, multiplayer will get boring after awhile but the campaign is nice.

Is this US alone? Because you sometimes fail to mention that and then fanboys will get ammunition. Like all those times the american sales of PS3 has somehow been used to show how well the console has done globally.

I am glad to see people buying something else than Wii-titled titles, but I feel a bit bad that a game that is considered doing well by Wii-standards hasn't shipped over a million.

Not as bad as when I look at Valkyrie Chronicles' sales though. That is depressing and undeserving.

Games do sell on the Wii. NPD numbers reveal that Wii version of multiplatform games sell comparably. Not that it matters since many will just ignore the evidence.

@voth: sonic titles sell better on the wii than anywhere else. Force Unleashed on Wii beat PS3 by a safe margin. Guitar Hero/Rock Band do well. The Wii Tales game beat the 360 tales game. Call of Duty doesn't do so hot, otoh.

I'm waiting for a full fledged JRPG to come out so we finally have a full on comparison in that regard.

I'd like to see how the Onechanbara games stack up, and what happens with Dead Rising. Because Tenchu is off to a solid start and I think we're finally going to get some good valid data in the upcoming months.

i actually got a chance to play de blob finally last week, its a good game, i understand why its sold well. only problem i have is that the stages are a little long for a quick casual session, but eh nothing's perfect. still a great title.

Seriously, Nintendo has done an amazing job of releasing games for their system, if you're a "long time Nintendo fan" like you say you are, you would realize that. Remember before? We would be lucky to get one game from them A YEAR on our N64s or GC. They've already tapped into all of their most storied franchise. Its not their fault. If anyone, blame the third parties.

What about Brawl or Metroid or WarioWare were especially casual? I mean what does that exactly mean here?

@houser: "casual" is just a gaming buzz word stupid people throw around to attack the Nintendo whilst attempting to seem intelligent.

I agree with Nevermore, Nintendo have been putting out a reasonable amount of first party titles per year. The gaps are traditionally filled by third parties, in this case they have dropped the ball, and its no surprise that a decent game sells well.

I played deBlob but didn't think it was all that great, really just a rental in my opinion. Which is why I'm impressed its sold so many copies without its price really having fallen much. Goes to show that people are desperate for a decent game on the Wii and they will buy it if they know about it.

@Combine: Well I bought it for 30 on Black Friday. Pretty good at that price point. A lot of little quests to do but it can get kinda boring because most of the quests are the same thing. The game needed more story driven levels and bosses. The last levels in the game are the best parts. Too bad the beginning and middle were kinda bland. But it was enough to keep me playing. The controls coulda been a little better though.

For 30 it's a good little game that can keep you entertained for the week. For 50? Maybe not so much.

Wouldn't mind a sequel if they improve from the first one.
