The retailer will also be selling a Sony BluRay player for $148, according to our source, who included an image from the retailer's computer system showing the deals.

Sounds like a great deal or two, though as with all rumors, make sure to take this with a grain of salt until we can get verification or the official news hits on Wednesday.

<![CDATA[BioShock and Oblivion Get Bundle]]> BioShock and The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion are going on sale as a bundle for the PC and Xbox 360 beginning next month, Bethesda Softworks announced today.

The BioShock and The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Bundle will sell for $40 on the Xbox 360 and $30 for the PC.

Combined, the two games earned more than 80 Game of the Year awards. While a really good deal, I can't help but wonder how many people don't own at least one of those games on the systems mentioned.

<![CDATA[GameStop Gives Away Movie Tickets With Movie Games]]> Beginning now through June 30th, purchasing select movie tie-in games at GameStop scores you a free movie ticket to help curb the buyer's remorse that sets in soon after said purchase.

All you have to do is purchase one game that GameStop considers a movie game between now and June 30th in order to receive a free ticket to a movie of your choice. Luckily for us, GameStop's definition of a movie game is rather loose, so titles like Resident Evil 5 and Ghostbusters qualify for the free movie ticket deal as well as the games that actually have movies currently in theaters. The choice of movie thing is also a plus, as it means those of us who have to suffer through purchasing Hannah Montana: The Movie for the young, misguided females in our lives can use the free pass to see something violent enough to wash the lilac out of our wallets.

Other eligible titles include X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Destiny of Zorro, Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian, Terminator Salvation, UP, Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings, Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs, and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. Check out GameStop's official promotional page for full details.

<![CDATA[UK Gets Halo 3, PGR4, Mass Effect Price Drops]]> Halo 3, Mass Effect and Project Gotham Racing 4 all get price drops in the UK this month as they are added to the Classics collection on March 20.

"We are delighted to add three of our finest titles to the Classics range, adding to the exceptional entertainment offering available on the Xbox 360 at outstanding prices," said David Gosen Vice President of Marketing, Xbox Europe. "As we see more and more families looking to save money by staying in, Xbox 360 continues to offer high-quality home entertainment at fantastic value and consumers are clearly recognising this as we sail past 8 million console sales in Europe."

No word yet on when or if the price drop, to £19.99 in the UK, will be coming to North America or other regions. But I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't' see an announcement soon.

<![CDATA[Toys R Us Testing Used Game Sales and Buy Backs]]> Toys R Us is testing out a new program to buy used video games for store credit at some stores in the New York area, the national toy retailer told Kotaku today.

"We are testing out a program at a couple of our stores in the New York area," said Bob Friedland, senior public relations manager for Toys R Us. "We are selling used games in the stores participating in the test."

He declined to say when or if the program would be rolled out nationwide or extended to other locations. He also declined to say how unusual it was for Toys R Us to be testing out such a program.

Word of the used game buy back program first hit CheapAssGamer earlier today when reader phear3d posted an image of a sign that reads "Sell back your used video games and receive store credit."

According to the sign, which was located in Nanuet, New York's store number 6325, only games in original case with case artwork and manual would be accepted. Game discs can't be cracked and the store wouldn't accept any games rated A.

I'm assuming that means no Adults Only, or AO games are eligible.

Phear3d reports on his blog that there were already a number of used games that had been resealed at his local store. The original Rock Band for the 360 was selling for $30, while Puzzle Quest was selling for $18.

The Toys R Us here in the Denver area told me that they were familiar with the program but that they weren't participating. They did tell me to check back in a couple of weeks to see if the program had been expanded to their area.

Sounds like GameStop may soon have some competition in the lucrative used game sales business.

<![CDATA[Braid Coming to Steam]]> Indie darling of 2008, Braid is heading to Steam next month for $15.

We loved it. The Interactive Achievement Awards loved it. And now on March 31 you can love it too.

"Braid is arguably the strongest example of what can be accomplished by an independent game designer," said Jason Holtman, director of business development at Valve. "From GDC to DICE, the title has deservedly collected numerous accolades and, along with World of Goo, Audiosurf and many others, is redefining the way people think about 'Independent Games.'"

So now you can pick up the game for PC on Steam or Impulse or for Mac on Hothead. Now you have no excuses not to play this game.

<![CDATA[Could PS3 Deals Be Indicator of Looming Price Drop?]]> A friendly tipster sent in this picture they say they snagged at a GameStop showing that the national retailer will be offering a $50 gift certificate with any purchase of a new Playstation 3.

The deal, we're told, kicks off on March 3.

If you're not in the mood to wait, Best Buy is currently offering a $50 gift card and a copy of either Guitar Hero: Aerosmith or Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock when you by the 80GB PS3 for $400.

While the GameStop still should be taken with a grain of salt, if true both deals bolster recent rumblings of a Playstation 3 price drop.

In his latest note to investors

"Recent channel checks indicate increased speculation for a PS3 price cut announcement from Sony in the next couple of days," wrote Hickey.

Could the Best Buy and GameStop deals be predictors for an upcoming $100 price drop?

<![CDATA[Aurora Feint Sequel Gets Holiday Discount]]> It looks like Aurora Feint II: The Arena is already getting a discount. We broke the news yesterday that the upcoming sequel to popular iPhone role-playing game was hitting later this week for $10, but the developers contacted me last night to let me know they've decided to drop the price initially.

"I've just been informed that Aurora Feint II:The Arena will go out at a sale price of 7.99 that will go up to 9.99 after the holidays."

Good news all around. So now, Aurora Feint II will initially sell for $2 less than Puzzle Quest when it hits the iPhone. Does that make a difference to any of you?

Current - Super Smash Brothers: Brawl (Wii)

6:00 AM PDT - Yoshi's Island DS

8:00 AM PDT - The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass (Nintendo DS)

10:00 AM PDT - Super Mario Galaxy (Wii)

12:00 PM PDT - The New Super Mario Bros. (Nintendo DS)

2:00 PM PDT - Mario Kart Wii

8:00 PM PDT - Pokemon Diamond and/or Pearl (Nintendo DS)

Check Amazon during the day to see if these predictions are true — and more importantly, just how low the deals go.

Eds Note: Slight correction: Mario Kart DS, NOT Mario Kart Wii and Pokemon Diamond confirmed, not Pearl as a choice.

<![CDATA[Wal-Mart Offers $100 Gift Card on All PS3 Purchases This Week]]> Just a quick reminder to those of you who didn't see the ads, or the announcements earlier this month, Wal-Mart is offering a $100 store gift card to anyone who buys a Blu-ray player from them between June 8 and June 14.

Yes, that includes any Playstation 3 they have in stock (including the Metal Gear Solid 4 bundle) and yes a "similar offer" is also available on WalMart.com.

As a side note, the chain will also be selling a number of Blu-ray movies for $15 a pop this week, while supplies last.

From today until February 3 they are offering the hugely popular FPS for $37.99 which is a $22 savings off of the regular listed price of $59.99.

Circuit City's weekly ad offers a $10 gift card with a pre-order of Devil May Cry 4 for either the Xbox 360 version or the PS3 version. A $10 gift card is also available for pre-orders of the 360 and PS3 versions of Turok. For a full rundown of all the weekly ad deals, check out CheapAssGamer.com.

<![CDATA[BioShock and Assassin's Creed for $40 at Best Buy]]> This week's Best Buy Ad lists two of the biggest titles of last year BioShock and Assassin's Creed each for $39.99. Also avialable is Enemy Territory: Quake Wars for $19.99 and an online only deal that will net you two games priced $19.99 each for $30. Some of the titles offered in that deal include COD 2, Viva Pinata, LEGO: Star Wars II, Red Steel and a ton of PS2 titles. The weekly ad deals last until next Saturday but the online offer has no stated ending date. If you want cash in on the hidden gems though, I would jump on it ASAP.

<![CDATA[Sign Up for AOL, Get a Free PS3, Ratchet & Clank]]> freeps3.jpg

AOL is giving away a 40GB Playstation 3 with a copy of Ratchet and Clank Future and a wireless Sixaxis controller to customers who sign a two-year contract for AOL Broadband Wireless Plus.

The 24-month contract also requires you to sign up for AOL Talk call plan (not sure what that is) and runs £19.99 a month. Once you stick around for 24 months you can keep your PS3 forever. The only catch, besides the ironclad two-year contract, is that you have to pay a deliver charge of £14.99 for the console, controller and game. Not a bad Christmas present, especially since it comes with Ratchet and Clank.

Judging by the price and location of the source, I suspect this is a UK only deal.

<![CDATA[Circuit City Game Deals]]> Man, the game deals are just coming out of the woodwork today. CheapAssGamer informs us that Circuit City has three deals going on this week in the games department. First, Save $20 when you purchase any two Wii games $29.99 and up (Not as good as the TRU deal but it's something). Second, get a $10 gift card with the purchase of Mario Party DS (Is it just me or does the concept of a party game on the DS seem a little odd?). And last but not least, get a $10 gift card when you buy Uncharted: Drake's Fortune for the PS3.

The Uncharted deal is probably the best one of the lot, but while you're there, you might as well peruse the Wii section as well. Never know what will be lurking around in there plus there's liable to be less screaming children there than in Toys R Us.

<![CDATA[KB Toys Black Friday Deal]]> A little less than a week to go and the Black Friday deals are rolling in. This one from KB Toys. According to their circular, they are offering Buy One Get One Free on their entire stock of video games. The offer excludes hardware and bundles with a limit of four fee games per customer. I find it a bit odd that there are no next-gen games in the photo, but the ad clearly states "entire stock." If there is a KB in your area, you might want to give a call or stop by this week to see what the selection is like before you head over there at 6am only to find yourself faced with some crappy GBA games.

<![CDATA[Circuit City Offers COD3 with Purchase of COD4]]> A nice little present for Call of Duty fans. In Circuit City's weekly ad, they are advertising an offer of a free copy of Call of Duty 3 when you purchase a copy of Call of Duty 4. Also included in the deal is a Call of Duty 4 poster. Great opportunity to fill out your collection if you missed out on the last title or need something to hang over that hole in your wall where you punched it. (I'm looking at YOU, Crecente)

<![CDATA[Toys "R" Us Offers $25 Gift Card With Super Mario Galaxy Purchase]]> It looks like the Super Mario Galaxy deals just keep on coming. First GameStop offers free two day shipping and now Toy "R" Us is getting in on the action too. Purchase your copy of the game that will make you dust off your Wii (in-store) from Toys "R" Us and you'll be rewarded with a $25 dollar gift card. Pretty sweet deal right there seeing as it's about half off of another new game (depending on the game). That's almost enough to make me want to get in the car, drive the ten miles to the nearest TRU and fight the hordes of screaming children to get it.

That buy a Blu-ray player or Playstation 3 and get five free Blu-ray movie offer that ended last month has just been reupped. The new offer runs from Oct. 1 through Jan. 31 and includes a new selection of movies. I wonder why the HD-DVD folks aren't doing this. Maybe there isn't a single company invested deeply enough to warrant the expense.

<![CDATA[Man, the Xbox 360 sales are just coming out...]]> Man, the Xbox 360 sales are just coming out of the woodwork. Yesterday we had news that Best Buy has starting selling Xbox 360 premiums with a free copy of Top Spin 2 and Microsoft confirmed that all premiums will now sport an HDMI out. Today Circuit City started selling their Xbox 360 Premiums with a free copy of Table Tennis. Personally, I'd got for the free Table Tennis over the free Top Spin.
