I found this game to be a fun diversion, but in no way am I willing to shell out money for these expansions.
Maybe if you got multiple levels & characters for $5, but I refuse to support micro-transactions such as extra characters that really don't change the game beyond cosmetics...
@jslay012: This expansion looks like it adds quite a bit to the game. I know what you mean about buying lone characters - like in Little Big Planet where they sell a sackboy for £2.39 - Who on earth spends money on that kind of thing.
This game needs to die. Seriously. Sony needs to back another of its better more entertaining PSN titles. Start including Flower with PS3's, not this shit.
I honestly hope that they do work on the PSP again. Judging form the comments, I'm not the only one! =D
What they did for Daxter and GoW for the PSP was technically astounding. No long loading times, textures were done well and most of all the gameplay was tight! I'd even daresay it was as tight as a virgin's ass!
If I were Sony I'd be thinking of buying 'em already. I mean who in their division makes solid PSP games? I imagine most of the big ones (Insomniac,Sucker Punch,Team ICO.etc) are working on PS3 games...
Come to think of it, a Team ICO PSP game would be legendary!
@Komrade_Kayce: Patapon is awesome! Love Loco Roco more though, I'd love to see a home console release for that bad boy...that stupid PSN screensaver thing doesn't count!
@firstworldman: I'd be inclined to say that that is beyond opinion. I've not seen/heard of any pirated copies of Pixel Junk Eden or what have you. Even the infinitely more piratable (to my knowledge) Wii and 360 don't seem to suffer from piracy of games delivered via XBLA or WiiWare/VC. Long may it continue.
Just realised I veered wildly off topic there...apologies.
Back on track, RAD should definitely stay in the PSP game. They've made what is widely accepted as the best PSP title to date. MoarPlz.
Hey its not as if the PSP is done yet. I'd like to see them work on other consoles but the PSP is still going strong, no reason for these guys to stop making quality games for it, that despite the piracy, ARE selling
@excel_excel: Agreed! The hardware is selling strong and I don't see it letting up anytime soon. From the last interview I've read, Sony seems to be hinting that '09 will have a ton of new PSP games. Seems like most third-party devs were caught unaware of its success...
@OkayOctane: Please yes! GoW:CoO for the PSP was the only action game I got my wife to play! Heck even people who doesn't play the GoW series has played it and loved it. Honestly it looked like a PS2 game at some parts of the game.
filled with cash.. isnt that what Microsoft does.. byes out everyone and everything cuz their unintentionally about to ruined the industry.
seriously why dont you guys make a post about that? microsoft creating a monopoly by paying for stuff like exclusive games and exclusive DLC's
I mean why the hell would you pay for exclusive DLC, its like paying a company to lower its consumer penetration.. im not an idiot, i know simple math. also know complex math.. regardlessly, less poeple equals less money.. MS should just let the rest of the systems they have out red ring and give up while their ahead. I mean they posten selling 3:1 against the ps2, but I bet about 2 out of each three has red ringed.. its a shame, and a problem
@Komrade_Kayce: honestly! He might as well haved posted about Subway ripping people off!...mmm....subway...no! NO! Were in a recession I won't eat you.....but you taste so good! *nomnomnom*
@firstworldman: he'll be disemvowled soon. A shame, trolling like his is awesomely funny!
@agthang: You have a point, exclusivity DLC and such sounds fairly stupid(should be from a business perspective as well)However from your post i kinda assume your just here to troll.
PS: Komrade_Kayce whats the point of counter-trolling? Since i assume ur bashing on the PS3 there
@excel_excel: I don't understand the last bit about the Subway thing, but I think that's the point. XD
@Komrade_Kayce: Exactly. Although it probably wasn't much of a choice for someone who is so adamant about blindly supporting some faceless corporations.
In fact, he posted nothing about what system he loves best. But anyone who trolls like that, whether they want to admit it or not, is upset that the fanbase of system (a) isn't paying attention to system (b), which they own.
I think its funny the PS3 sprang to your mind. Since I would have made that exact same reply if someone was 'Doesnt Sony always claim to be best when they cant deliver, nobody cares about dying blu ray, there are no games on the PS3, blarg blarg blarg'.
@agthang: Not really a monopoly per se, especially when other consoles get the DLC down the line. You are indeed not an idiot (although your use of 'bye' and 'ruined' is questionable), more people does equal more money, thus to make money developers would not be willing to keep their DLC exclusive to a console unless they were paid near to what they forecast getting from sales of the DLC. Example, Rockstar, the GTA IV DLC is TIMED exclusive to 360, so after a while PS3 owners will get it, and Rockstar keeping rolling in the monies. EVERYONES A WINNAR!
@OkayOctane: though, whilst we're on this digressive track, Microsoft are being rather dick-ish in regards to DLC...
I've heard from quite a few developers that Microsofts deals are often not to secure DLC for the Xbox 360, but to cock-block the PS3 (apparently this was the case with Fallout 3), ie; they pay for the company NOT to release their DLC on the PS3, but leave them free to develop for the PC and 360... this only serves to monopolise DLC profits, make multiplatform franchises more appealing for the 360 and to infuriate consumers...
*Shakes fist* ...
oh well, totally unrelated to the article, but that's been annoying me for some time and this deviation from the discussion seemed like an appropriate place to let off some steam...

Flower as a PS3 pack-in? Sure! We'll call it the "cure for insomnia pack."

Might as well be one of few shining stars on a handheld, regardless of handhelds popularity, than lost in a sea of many shining stars somewhere else.
Then people talk about your game for years to come
eg "That crappy PSP way back when, no good games ever came out for it, lol ngage"
"What? You don't remember Chains of Olympus?!? Dude, sucks to be you"
12/15/08
"Jesus dude epic fail, PSP had Loco Roco it was awesome!"
12/15/08
Oh man, PSP DOES have Loco Roco.
And Patapon. I don't care what you haters say about it, I loved those little guys.
