We first covered this as a project over a year ago, but today Czech studio Warhorse is officially unveiling a very different kind of RPG: Kingdom Come: Deliverance.
These images were taken at the "Battle For Middle Earth". While it shares a name, I can assure you this is at least 100x cooler than EA's middling Lord of the Rings strategy series.
As we've shown you before, the towns and farms in the DayZ world of Chernarus aren't exactly fiction. Much of the map, from the street layout down to individual building design, is lifted from real locations in the Czech Republic.
When you think of an RPG, you think of dragons. Loot. Fireballs. Goblins. Worlds where entire ecosystems change every two miles. Basically, a whole load of stuff that's make-believe, and despite the frequent "medieval" setting, about as far from actual history as you can get.
How exciting can you make a drab old apartment building in the Czech Republic look? Turns out, with some video game effects, pretty damn exciting.
