So Valve could be forgiven for just endlessly patching and improving it, like an MMO. But that's boring . They could also do something a little more exciting. Valve's Doug Lombardi:

With Counter-Strike 2, there's a big question between, do we go start over from scratch and build a whole new game, do we do something that looks more like Team Fortress 2 that is rooted in the old game but has a ton of new stuff, or do we just sort of take everything that's new that we've released and put that out in a new box.

I think we're leaning more towards the two more radical places than just sort of rolling up the new box and re-skinning the box and putting out all the new stuff.

Seeing as Counter-Strike's coming up on it's tenth birthday, the "whole new game" option's got my vote, thanks.

<![CDATA[Clips: CS DDR]]>

Recently Joel Johnson announced that he would begin training to compete in a DDR competition. Shocking, more so if you happened to have spent two E3s with the man. I mean COME ON he never left the press room!

Not being a megalomaniacs, I've managed to start training to enter into some competitive FPS tournies without mentioning it to anyone. So far my training has focused on trying to not be the sort of spazzy trigger finger who pops off an entire clip when he mistakes a bush for someone on the other team. It's not going so well.

I mention these two completely disparate and totally uninteresting things because someone sent in a bit of machinima showing some sweet CS DDR. That's right in-game Counter Strike Dance Dance Revolution. I imagine it's what Joel and I would look like if we become one person... and didn't suck at our respective games.
