So we see our fair share of iPhone cases. But only once, ever, have we seen one this cute. This great.

Hand-crafted and available from hand-crafted megastore Etsy, the case itself is $20. The controller, an extra $7. Premium price for an iPhone case, sure, but then you don't often get the chance to buy soft, adorable cases in the shape of a PlayStation.

<![CDATA[With This Atari, I Thee Wed]]> I'm getting married later this year. Need a wedding ring. Funny, then, that at this precise time in history, I come upon this gold ring, made out of the heart of an Atari.

As it's called a "1981 Atari Ring", I'm guessing it's from an Atari 2600. Regardless, it looks great, especially since - if weddings aren't your thing - it'll leave one hell of an Atari-shaped dent in the faces of your enemies.

<![CDATA[Keep Your Hadoukens Crisp & Fresh With Tupperware Arcade Sticks]]> Arcade sticks are a necessity for proper fighting action on a console, but you know what? Arcade sticks are expensive. Now Tupperware, it's a lot easier to get your hands on some Tupperware.

And once you've got hold of some, get hold of some arcade stick components (OK, that last bit's probably a bit harder) and throw 'em inside the Tupperware, wire everything up and hey presto. A Tupperware arcade stick. Cram a sandwich in there, keep the stick in the fridge overnight and you're set.

<![CDATA[Keep Your Cat Busy With These Kitty Control Pads]]> I must say, I'm more of a dog man myself, but this is one instance where cats come out trumps. A dog would probably try and eat these adorable controllers, where a cat just...cuddles.

It cuddles the guitar, at least. Which is what it's supposed to do. These are gadgets for cats, after all. The Wii Remote, NES pad and 360 controller look a lot less relaxing, though. More antagonistic. Like a 21st century ball of string.

<![CDATA[Gut This TF2 Crossword Like A Cornish Hen]]> Reader Aeon - who was kind enough to whip us up that Half-Life crossword - has continued his love for both Valve and words by crafting another one. This time, it's about Team Fortress 2.

You can take a crack at it below. Though we'd really recommend you print it off, since the effects of furiously scribbling on your monitor/TV/phone/whatever might not be covered under your warranty.

<![CDATA[LittleBigPrinceOfPersia]]> Had your fill of custom, hand-knitted sackboys? We're coming close, but we're not there just yet. So there's still a little admiration left in the tank for this cute little Prince of Persia.

You'll remember Maggie Wang from that last batch, and she's also the lady responsible for this Prince here, who's notable not just because he's a lot less annoying than his in-game counterpart, but for the little touches, like his dainty little claw-hands.

<![CDATA[A Conversation With the Portal Gun Maker]]> Everyone remembers the ultrafantabulous do-want Portal Gun prop we showed you back in January. This weekend its creator, Harrison Krix, revealed future summa-cum-badass prop projects he's working on.

Among them:

• Life-sized Big Daddy from BioShock. "I realize this has been done before, but I think I can bring it to life in a more authentic and realistic way than has been displayed before."
• PipBoy3000 from Fallout 3, "with an integrated iPhone dock."
• Also a "Fat Man" nuke launcher from Fallout 3.

As for the gun itself, Krix confirms that its claws do not articulate (the whole thing is static), but he plans to retrofit it to play Portal sounds on command.

Harrison, who has made some Zelda props in the past, is also accepting commissions on his blog. In whatever free time he has left he rebuilds vintage cars.

<![CDATA[Mario: The Board Game]]> Ever wondered what Mario would have looked like had Nintendo stuck to their background in making games out of paper and cardboard instead of going all electronic? Wonder. No. More.

This is "Mushroom Kingdom", by Ashley Buerkett. And no, it's not really a game. It's just an incredibly delicate, wonderful piece of papercraft. So you can't play it. But you can look at it. So let's!

<![CDATA[How To Build A Wii Remote For Children, Others Of Short Stature]]> I like the feel of the Wii Remote. Not too big, not too small. But I've got man hands! If you've got smaller digits, you might want/need a smaller Wii Remote.

Which is where the Mini-Mote comes in. Designed and built by DHREK - the same guy who made that hemp Remote & Nunchuk combo we showed you a while ago - it shrinks both primary Wii controllers down to a more manageable (if you're a child/dwarf) size.

You can find some terribly exhaustive instructions on how to build the Mini-Mote, along with plenty more pics, at the link below.

<![CDATA[Real Portal Gun Won't Leave You Tasting Blood]]> Flickr user emilyskeith has a boyfriend who knows she loves Portal. Knows she loves to cosplay. Knows that, should she ever feel the need to cosplay as Chell, she'd need a suitably authentic ASHPD.

So he made her one! A real one, made out of heavy, real materials. Calling it amazing would be understating it so bad you should never, ever call it amazing.

<![CDATA[You'll Need Teamwork To Finish This Left 4 Dead Tank]]> Left 4 Dead is scary. Paper? Not so scary. But paper folded to appear as though the paper takes the form of Left 4 Dead's scariest bad guy, THE TANK? OK. That's...scary enough.

<![CDATA[In Which Zelda Papercraft Reaches New Heights]]> Yes. That's papercraft. A papercraft hat. A papercraft Zelda hat, complete with floppy green bit, moppish blonde hair and polygonal stylings. And it's wearable.

Before you reach for the PRINT button, know that it'll take 12 pages to get the lot of it. Also know that once you combine papercraft and cosplay in the single item, you can never return to the ranks of normal society.

<![CDATA[If Crusty Old Hippies Designed A Wii Remote...]]> ...it would look a lot like this. Well, crusty hippies or industrious 19th century sailors. They're the only types aside from DHREK who could have made a functioning Wii Remote out of hemp string.

Yes, hemp string. The exterior of this Wii Remote and Nunchuk are made out of "100% natural hemp", giving them a rustic, fuzzy, organic appearance. But the insides? 100% Nintendo-manufactured Wii Remote insides. This remote's accelerometer, infra-red and buttons are all fully armed and operational (if also exceedingly delicate).

<![CDATA[Custom Headcrab Zombie Lovingly Detailed in Gore]]> Reader Mark sends along his latest action figure creation: A 12-inch high Half-Life Headcrab Zombie.

Mark says the figures clothing was assembled from his collection of action figure playthings, but that the headcrab and the remains of a face underneath were both handmade.

"It's quite a fresh zombie with a younger and smaller crab than the ones you tend to see in the game as I wanted some of the victim's head to be visible still and not completely enveloped like the more developed examples in the game. It doesn't come across very well in these photos but the bloody bits are gloss varnished to keep them wet-look fresh."

Oh, we believe you Mark, that face looks plastic wrap fresh.

<![CDATA[Build Your Own Braid Papercraft]]> Like Braid? Like printing things out, cutting them up and then folding them together again? Do you also like cute characters with slightly-too-big square heads?

Never have these three interests been more closely aligned that in Cubeecraft.com's Braid Papercraft page.

Cubeecraft has color JPG files to print out that contain foldable 3D models of Braid's lead character, Tim and, er, one of the monster things. I don't know what they are called. Answers in the comments.

No glue is required, just scissors, patience and a significant other who won't leave you if you decorate the house with characters from innovative platform games. As Meatloaf would say, two out of three ain't bad.

<![CDATA[Someone's Knitting Super Mario Bros. Level 1-1 (The Whole Thing)]]> Atlantian knitter Cassie has committed to knitting more than just a scarf. She's planning on knitting the entirety of Super Mario Bros. first level in yarn form, a project she's documenting for all of the internet to see. According to a recent post, it looks like she's a little over one-third of the way through — and it's already bordering on ridiculous. We'll continue to gawk just to see how big this thing gets as we learn about yarn color discrepancies.

Color-coded, and sound-dampening, they look like the perfect addition to any Rock Band set-up. I wonder why Harmonix hasn't starting selling some sort of official sound-dampeners for the drums?

Too bad they don't because these crocheted ones sold two days ago over on Etsy. Maybe FunkieFresh will make some more.

<![CDATA[A DIY Sega Arcade Cabinet To Die For]]> VFDS poster L_A_Akira recently got home from Japan, where he was smitten by Sega's latest Lindberg arcade cabinets. Guy - naturally - wanted one of his own. Deciding wisely that trying to import one was a bit silly, he instead took the road more awesome and built himself one, which will house his 360, PS3, PC and even a car amp. Above, the initial concept art. The finished product - after the clicky clicky - may surprise/delight you.

<![CDATA[Nintendo Scarf Punches Out My Heart]]> Just when you thought Nintendo scarves had been played out, along comes this. Knitted by the delightful Etsy merchant and Nintendo fangirl Tanya (Beatboxtaun), it's got Mike Tyson on one side looking like he's had his fill of babies for the day, while on the other, Little Mac is looking a little worse for wear. Beautiful! Such beauty comes at a price, however: at 72-inches long and one-of-a-kind, you'll be throwing down $175 for the privilege of wearing it around your scrawny neck, so impulse-shoppers might want to avoid hitting the link below if they haven't paid their month's rent yet.
