    Though I have both systems, I got this one pre-ordered for the 360 since a huge appeal for this game will be the mp aspect of it. And with my friend's list on the 360 more then tripling my friend's list on the PS3 the choice was pretty easy for me.
    Which I have to imagine would be a big deal of why some are leaning either way is the mp factor for MW2 is the free online for the PS3 being a huge part of it.
    As for AC2, that game seems to be closely tied to the PS3 that I've barely heard or seen anything of that connected to the 360 (sort of like MW2 seems to be greatly linked to the 360).

    Their research is bogus. MW2 and AC2 pre-orders are much larger on the 360 than PS3. You won't have to wait very long to have this disproven, just wait a week after Nov 10th when the sales figures come out. #consolewars

    @Dreadk: it's amazing how loud my 360 seemed when I'd just turned it on (it was idling on the dashboard) compared to the PS3 which I'd just turned off after playing Uncharted 2 for a couple hours.

    The reasons I won't be getting multi-platform titles for PS3 are simple:
    - the 360's controller is far more comfortable for me
    - my buddies only have 360s
    - I find gamerscore and achievements far more rewarding than trophies, even though I am fully aware they're both pointless. #consolewars

    @Rakkoon: In your situation and with your arguments, I'd obviously do the same :)

    However, in my case :
    - I really like silence (or low dB environment)
    - I appreciate PS3 controller (though I'm aware the trigers are quite bad)
    - I really don't care about Trophy stuffs.

    Finally, I'm quite impress that most of the reason behind platform choice aren't relied to "fanboy"'s considerations. #consolewars

    my purchases are now dictated by whether or not the game has an install... my ps3 is the 60g and I don't feel like going through the hassle of swapping out the drive... MW2 goes to 360 for me cause of the pad, and AC2 is up in the air since i played the first one on my ps3, I like that pad better for third person action better #consolewars

    @phylipsbane: the only time I ever thought I should've gotten a game for PS3 rather than 360 was Mirror's Edge, which uses the shoulder buttons and triggers so much, the PS3's controller makes more sense for it.
    The install thing isn't that big a deal for me. On 360 I install my games and then delete them when I'm done playing for the foreseeable future. On PS3 I do the same, even though that has an 80GB HDD (20GB more than my 360's HDD). #consolewars

    While I think this analysis is correct, it's a little misleading. 360 versions of these games will still outsell their PS3 counterparts. It's just that the gap will have closed a little bit. #consolewars

    Bullshit!! Core gamers will still buy the 360 versions for slightly better graphics.

    I'm a PS3 owner, but I'll be getting this for PC. The only COD i have for a console is the Big Red One.

    @rich8606: Dude, this isn't 2007. Multiplatform games usually look almost identical these days and only do some look better on one console than the other (sometimes better on PS3). #consolewars

    @SocraticMethod: Oh yeah? Tekken 6 PS3 runs at 1024x576, the 360 version runs at 720p. The PS3 version have longer load times too...

    @gercorr: Nah, Almost every multiplat games this year. Resident Evil 5, Street Fighter 4, Batman AA, the PS3 versions either have worse AA or lower res textures. #consolewars

    I'm buying games for either the PS3 or PC now a days. I went from a Nintendo fanboy (From SNES on up) to Xbox (after the gimmicky Wii) but now just prefer PC as I'm no fan of Sony but I have more beef with Microsoft.

    1) Microsoft's blatant censorship of Christmas. Last Christmas season they had a "Holiday" movie section and "Holiday" snowglobe yet in both instances there was nothing but Christmas. Christmas movies, Christmas music, Christmas-themed snowglobe and colors... Yet they called it "holiday" despite no other holiday being represented.

    2) The RROD. My launch console RRODed and then my replacement and then again. MS's outsourced CSR in India are rude and extremely unhelpful and MS no longer sends out the boxes so the cost is on the consumer to get MS's mistake fixed.

    3) The mandated "up"grade. I absolutely loathe the NXE and that alone is reason enough for me to never buy anything related to the 360 again. I've lived through SOE destroying SWG and MS doing the same to the Xbox is just unacceptable.

    So I'll be buying any future titles on the PS3 if not for the PC or just passing altogether. #consolewars

    to make me pick games for the PS3 all i would need is a redisgned controller, just like the 360.

    i've grown acustomed to using the 360 controller now whenever i try to play a fps on the ps i always end up either looking at the floor or the sky. i used to be a master with the PS controller too but after a few years of playing xbox's its hard to go back #consolewars

    @wadsy2k8: You know, it'd be amazing if you could use the PC usb 360 controller on the PS3. I mean the button layouts are the SAME, only difference is d-pad and left stick. #consolewars

    @wadsy2k8: The convex R2/L2 buttons are awful. My fingers slip off of them constantly. They need to redesign them like triggers like the 360, and further swap R1/R2 and L1/L2 a la the 360s controller. It makes no fucking sense the way it's set up. #consolewars

    In the case of AC2, the PS3 has two distinct advantages. Heavy marketing in favor of PS3, and exclusive content for AC2 PS3 via AC PSP.

    In the case of MW2? Probably just the free online thing. It certainly isn't marketing since MW2 is pretty much a 360 game.

    As for the people talking about mic users? I don't really care. After 15 years of PC gaming I'd rather just take the silence with the occasional opportunity of running into same cool guys or girls playing. By all accounts given it sounds like most of the people that trumpet Live end up only playing on mic with friends anyways. #consolewars

    I agree since I owned AC1 for the 360, but I'm getting AC2 for the ps3, I don't know why, maybe because my psp is hacked I get free exclusive weapons the ps3 has, no my friend doesn't even have a psp and doesn't care about weapons, he is still getting the ps3 version, when in 2006-2007 all he kept saying was
    360PS3.
    Toy-R-Us is having a huge sale for anybody that buys the 3000 psp bundle with Assassin Creed Bloodlines, for 199 you get Assassin Creed 2 for the ps3 FREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    If I owned both (whereas I currently own one and have access to the other) I'd probably split. Single player games for 360 and multiplayer for PS3.
    Honestly the 360 has a better pad and is just better in my opinion. I prefer using wired pads so I don't have to stop playing to sort out the failing battery and it tends to have the best ports of most games anyway. I'm not interested in paying for XBL so online games go to PS3. Exclusives obviously go to each console too.

    @Sharkey1337: Because I wanted the fun 360 edition mainly because it's kinda a half gift for my younger brother who's into Cod a ton (and is jelious of the iPod touch I got my sister) and I have lots of Ps3 friend I rarely get to play with because of the few ps3 games I get they have, and they're all getting this. #consolewars
