    !!!!!!

    gjeioqgjwogjwklgjwdklgjaslj!!!!!

sorry guys but you cant understand how excited this makes me. i almost didnt want to post a comment kuz i knew id probably lose all credibility with my outbursts of excitement. although ive been playing games on mame forever, ive always dreamed of having some of my favorite sidescroller/beat em up arcade games on a console. now nintendo, announce the addition of online play with an agent similar to kailera.. and i'll argue to the death about how much awesomer the wii is over the 360 and ps3! sounds crazy i know, but beat em ups have always been my favorite genre.

    please capcom and konami!!!!

alien vs predator, cadillacs and dinosaurs, the punisher, d&d: shadow over mystaria/tower of doom, battle circuit, final fight, x-men, the simpsons, ninja turtles, metamorphic.... ahh nvm i could keep on going.

score one for the old school!

@WarlockSoL: I felt the arcade version had bigger (though not necessarily better) sound, and it felt like it was a little more out-of-control and spontaneous than the SNES version. Both games are awesome, but neither are on VC, probably due to licensing restrictions so... I'm just going to end this rant with a sigh.

I'd love it if they also released some newer arcade titles through the series, maybe a Capcom fighting game.

Marvel vs Capcom to keep us going until Tatsunoko vs Capcom, maybe?

How to Make Games Fun Again conference.

Who care's about games being educational, or having them make you learn something. Just make the damn thing's fun.

Besides, I have learned more unintentionally from games then I have because people were TRYING to teach my something. Ever sense the 7th grade I could read at college levels, but I HATE reading books. The only thing I read (and read a lot of) were RPG's. They never TRIED to teach me anything, but they made me a better reader, without RPG's, I would probably not know how to read half the comments on this site.

@Mr.Awesomerific: It's THAN not THEN, it's ME not MY, it's SINCE not SENSE...

are you sure you learned anything from games? like maybe grammar?

if you could read at college level, how come you can't write at the same level?

learning engrish from JRPG's will only lead you to even worse grammar mistakes...

    @Mr.Awesomerific:

Jesus Christ, I'm sorry, but I hate this thing about people and books so much...

Listen, everything you know about books? Forget it. Everyone loves different kinds of books. Sometimes really popular books are terrible (e.g. Anything written by Stephanie Meyer or Ayn Rand). The taste you have for stories will be unique to you.

Fictional books aren't truly meant to teach you something (no matter what today's Pseudo Intellectuals may believe). They do sometimes, but their main objective is to tell a story. Find the type of story you like, and go after books like that.

If you want my own personal recommendations, I'm glad to help.

@Mister Adequate: I never really meant to say game's are no longer fun period, or I wouldn't be here right now.

@AproposOfEverything: The problem is something like ADD, I can't sit around and stare at word's painting pictures in my head of what some dude is telling me. Ironically I can just sit around and paint pictures in my head.

@Mr.Awesomerific: your distaste of books i can understand, although i have a reason other than "books suck!"

i find that modern authors can't write for crap. they can tell a story, sometimes very well, but they can't write. the godfather by puzo is a good example. the story is excellent, giving you a lot more backstory than the film, but his choice of words, grammar, use of point of view all detract from the experience.

besides a few select fantasy authors like GRRM, and some classics like dracula and monte cristo, i find very little interesting. ( i used to love sherlock holmes too. then my brain kicked in and his explanations made little to no sense. )
