    awful monologist. Craig Fergeson continues to own everyone else when it comes to the first 10 minutes of their shows. He can ad-lib off anything, and does, every night. If he read from a cue-card EVER during an opening, i'd be shocked. great comic.

    For once, a TV program got both the music AND the sound effects right. What usually happens is that some generic bleeps and bloops play which leads to a ruined joke.

    Few TV tropes get under my skin like footage of modern games with the sound effects replaced with blooping.


    I mean, really? Was that five-second shot of the protagonist playing GTA completely unrecognizable as a video game until you painstakingly injected Pong's sounds into the scene? Just cut to a shot of the controller for god's sake. I'm fairly certain that your non-gaming audience will pick up on the hint.


    Are people out there really dense enough to believe that graphic design can evolve by miles over the years, but sound effects have remained entirely unchanged?


    YARGH! I've been wanting to get that off my chest for a long time. :P

    THIS HAS GONE ON LONG ENOUGH...


    THIS BACKGROUND HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH MARIO. Someone saw the conan background, and photoshopped various mario levels to fit the background with various geometric shapes that are very easy to manipulate. This is embarrasing how far this has gone over a photoshop. The mario picture isn't even a level! It's just a lot of different things from a lot of different levels that was never seen until after the comparison emerged!

    We know its not a mario level. we realize it is a photoshop of various elements from the Mario Universe.

    @Ozymandias: Except a lot of people DID think it's intentional, as if those shapes are specific to Mario.


    People like Gioro G66 down there. You know, Television engineers have this GREAT tool called compositing... Adobe After Effects or Shake or Combustion can work wonders, and in a short amount of time with good enough computers and good enough people. So, Ozy, no... not everyone gets it. There are people that are just legitimately that naive about this.
