@Two Flush Dump: If the title said "Comic-Con Founder Has Died of Dysentery", then yeah that would have been killer. I mean, that would have killed it!
Rest in Peace.
Thanks for creating one of the best conventions on the planet.
Every year I go, I'll think of the immeasurable contribution you've made. #comiccon
Oh ... I thought you guys new about this a month ago, or I would have sent the tips in. Gambit showed up on a EU box weeks ago, and Jean was on a GameStop ad.
It looks like Penance may be the next character announced. Other good possibilities are Ms. Marvel and Nova.
@SpiritThief: The day we can finally get everyone to stop confusing one of the most awesome comic book heroines ever with some retarded anthropomorphic bat thief will be a truly momentous day indeed.
Years and years of adversity, ignorance, and laziness...vanquished. And I shall look at the fallen heathen Rouge, and I shall utter one phrase:
@MonsterKingRen: What? No way! Jean Grey is awesome, especially when Phoenix is involved.
The fact that her powers are more or less invisible lead to the necessity to give her character more depth, and if I may say so, she's generally a well-written character.
Sorry to nitpick but the comics and 90's tv show make a point to say that they are two completely different people living in the same body and when she looks like that then she is the Phoenix and not considered to be Jean Grey... Eh...I feel dirty now..
@Limeade: Rogue is awesome, but I can sort of understand why she so rarely appears in video games.
In a game full of enemies with cool powers to absorb, playing as a properly-implemented Rogue would be more or less like playing as Kirby. I'd imagine that the developers would consider that to be too much work for one character.
I want Vulcan. I want Ares. I want The Sentry. Hell, give me Exodus! I want characters that have not and will not appear in films past, present, and future.
MUA should be one long shout out to all the fans that keep comics in business. They should have Age of Apocalypse skins for all the relevant characters. Marvel 2099 skins too!
In short, give me something that is void of the stench of Hollywood and its transgressions against continuity. Please?
@Archaotic: If you weren't excited for Iron Fist, then you aren't reading Immortal Iron Fist. That said, you are absolutely correct. If Scott doesn't show up, I am going to boycott this game.
@tehdorkz: Well, the problem was is that is was Texan, not Cajun. I was VERY disappointed i the way they handled Gambit. And he is my favorite X-Men, too :(
I would actually posit that young mr. Fett is not in nearly enough Star Wars games. In fact, that he doesn't yet have a super-HD jetpack murderfest on current generation consoles is an outrage. Republic Commando 2/Imperial Commando would slate my rage. Hint.
Isn't Jean Grey, like, in one of her dead phases during the timeline they're trying to run at? I mean, I read Civil War, and I'm pretty sure she wasn't around at the time, but then again the X-Men weren't that active in that debacle outside of Wolverine, so I'm not 100%.

I was going to make a Superman photoshop, but it crashed on me AGAIN. (Those of you on Kotakuites should know my aggrieves with CS4 already...)
Anyways, rest easy, big fella, and hopefully you don't go into remake hell and instead go into Superhero Retirement. Rest in peace, Shel.
P.S. Shel Dorf is the person on the right.

That said, we'd probably get them in the game anyway (flight and strength are much easier to work with than "no powers until you absorb something").

Gambit is pretty cool though.

Here's hoping I'm wrong, though!

As an exercise, let's imagine Gambit with the same exact lines and all the same awesome powers, but with the voice of Master Shake from Aqua Teen.
Not so badass and cool anymore, eh?
