Of Course Jean Grey, Gambit Join Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2
Gears of War In Red And Blue Bronze

It looks like Penance may be the next character announced. Other good possibilities are Ms. Marvel and Nova.

That said, we'd probably get them in the game anyway (flight and strength are much easier to work with than "no powers until you absorb something").

Years and years of adversity, ignorance, and laziness...vanquished. And I shall look at the fallen heathen Rouge, and I shall utter one phrase:
"Goodnight, sugah."

:P Seriously Rogue not Rouge.

Gambit is pretty cool though.

The fact that her powers are more or less invisible lead to the necessity to give her character more depth, and if I may say so, she's generally a well-written character.

Sorry to nitpick but the comics and 90's tv show make a point to say that they are two completely different people living in the same body and when she looks like that then she is the Phoenix and not considered to be Jean Grey... Eh...I feel dirty now..

In a game full of enemies with cool powers to absorb, playing as a properly-implemented Rogue would be more or less like playing as Kirby. I'd imagine that the developers would consider that to be too much work for one character.
Here's hoping I'm wrong, though!

MUA should be one long shout out to all the fans that keep comics in business. They should have Age of Apocalypse skins for all the relevant characters. Marvel 2099 skins too!
In short, give me something that is void of the stench of Hollywood and its transgressions against continuity. Please?
PS: Gambit sucks. ;)

He wasn't your favorite because he was all badass and cool?

As an exercise, let's imagine Gambit with the same exact lines and all the same awesome powers, but with the voice of Master Shake from Aqua Teen.
Not so badass and cool anymore, eh?

Anyway. Hooray Gambit.

What? Can't a guy's favorite superhero be a D-lister?

Glad to see the Ragin' Cajun is in there, though. I really hate MUA2's roster so far, with Deadpool and Gambit being only two of the not-completely-obvious inclusions I've actually supported. Hopefully the secret characters and DLC actually make the game worth playing.

Much like the blu-ray version of Watchmen when the 2nd part of the game is due out.

Gambit, you're probably right. And DLC will definitely be coming. It's ACTIVISION. Will they pass up the opportunity to fleece money out of people? Can I get a "hell no"?

And you're absolutely correct: if Scott doesn't make an appearance, I am going to flip shit. Here is so very much hoping.

But then there's a big group of fans, and I fall in this category, that find Scott Summers to be the most important X-Man ever, because they always wrote him that way. His character has always been interesting due to his necessity to the team's health. Yeah, he's gotten a bit emo lately, but dammit, I would be too if I were him. It's a wonder he lasted as long as he did. Though it is a little less tolerable in the new X-Men animated series, "Wolverine and the X-Men," simply because he's not leading the X-Men; Wolverine is. Which bothers me to no. End (Marvel went "Activision" on Wolverine years ago, and it's really starting to wear on me). Otherwise, the series is pretty awesome, updated for new continuity and rosters and stuff like that.
In ANY case, people like me will always like Cyclops so long as they don't completely tarnish his legacy.
