As a Guild Wars player this seems cool. As a promotion for Aion it kind of seems odd. I don't have much interest in Aion, but I guess an idea like this is just to get a person like me to buy the game for wings in another game.
Really, wings in GW? This is kinda stupid but smart to get even just a few more copies sold. All I know is I'm going to have to deal with people showing off their wings in town all day now instead of playing the game while thousands of noobs ask them how to do it. God damn.
@R0CKFISH: The same people who would sit around town and spam an emote like this are the same ones that will try to make emotes look like sex (All MMOs), dance naked on mailboxes (WoW), or talk in general chat about their [Penta Thrust] [Meat] [Rod] (FFXI). The same type of generic idiot we've all learn to ignore in MMOs for the past 10+ years. I doubt it's going to detract from your gaming experience anymore than it would have had they not been added.
@SpishackCola is The Black Squiggly!: The r10 /fame is some kind of unbelievably badass emote that is only gained by the truly hardcore. I hope you know the awesomeness that I speak of.
@krishna830:
I think I saw it once or twice when I was sitting around in the Battle Isles for no particular reason. I broke down in tears from the awesomeness.
From my experience with the beta, it took me two days to unlock the wings, and it would've gone even faster if I didn't have other things to do at the time.
