"The most authentic Modern War experience"? Neat, we get to hit the dirt and stay in a fetal position wishing we were back "in the world" while our friends and comrades get killed by stray sniper fire. One radio request later by our commanding officer (real war, means you got no way in hell of being more then a corporal) and a few huge explosions later, you finally get the nerve to get up, only to see a a crater where the enemy fire was comming from. Later levels will include therapy for Posttraumatic stress disorder.
Considering current events, that's an ironic thought.
Perhaps it's more that Six Days in Fallujah did not have the production support that a massive company like EA has.
Forgive me if I'm retreading old ground - I kept my head down in the articles regarding the previous controversy. But this just seems like a head-scratcher.
Personally, it's not something that I'm about to get fired up over - I love DICE, and hearing DICE is involved is pretty much a guaranteed 'in' for me.
I'm just imagining the potential shower of media backlash - or surprising lack thereof.
@The Forgetful Brain: The situation is different with the 2. If you are not familiar with why the SDIF was not acceptable or there was a huge issue with it then perhaps you should look up the information behind what went down there.
Depending on where they set this in Afghanistan will make a difference.
That and well people are generally idiots and will follow others like sheep just as long as someone starts baying about something (but this is more my own personal opinion)
@The Forgetful Brain: The real problem with Six Days in Fallujah was that it was a real conflict. This Medal of Honor will be a safe, fake, general 'Desertistan' and not really get into anything that could be traced to real life.
I still haven't bought a Konami game because they wussed out on 6DiF.
I find it funny that MoH, once the premier WWII FPS experience, was overcome by Call of Duty, and now desperately trails behind it. The master has become the apprentice.

@Polterg3ist plays bass in a band: If you ever go on SlickDeals.net or CheapAssGamer, you'll likely see a forum post about these.
I signed up for ECA when the Amazon promotion was in swing - used it on one, maybe two games before the stackers got it killed (which was a shame, because 10% on Amazon with free shipping and no tax is pretty significant).
Apart from that, it's a little hard to see what ECA does...
There's forums and some sort of consumer advocation but...
@Terrorsaur - Five Six: Considering DICE is doing the multiplayer, I think we've got dedicated servers. They still look at dedicated servers as a necessity.
@Terrorsaur - Five Six: It's wonderful how you don't care about the quality of the game on hand. Just whether or not you get to make your own maps and what have you.

@Terrorsaur - Five Six: With Dice in charge of the multiplayer, I have a good feeling that dedicated servers will be present. Dice doesn't like using anything but dedicated servers for their games as without them, there's too many limitations when designing.
If I can mod the game to my liking...then whats stopping me from modding the game to my liking when I buy it and decide theres a few things I don't like?
I joined the ECA a while back when signup was free with a Slickdeals coupon, which was great, because back then the ECA was giving gamers 10% off codes for purchasing games from Amazon.
Once an exploit was revealed with the codes, and Amazon stopped providing the codes to ECA members, literally tons of people started dropping ship from the ECA.
Then suddenly and surrepticiously, the ECA dropped its auto cancellation feature from its Web site and made it so you could only quit with a mailed letter.
I think people have a right to be upset about this. The ECA is doing everything it can to keep people from leaving following the Amazon fiasco.
Will certainly be calling in soon, just need to finish this episode of Weeds. Season 5 is pretty rotten compared to one, two, and three. But it's still better than much of the drivel on TV.
The organization has grown so large that electronic means of processing data is LESS efficient then fucking physical?
This community manager's ability to spin a line of bullshit is severely lacking.
How about:
"Our membership system is in desperate need of an upgrade, to process electronic membership cancellations. We apologize for this inconvenience and are working on an upgrade in the future"
Leaves the door open to when enough pressure forces the organization to enable the electronic option but still lets the org scam as much auto renewal payments as possible.
Or:
"Due to membership agreements with our various partners and affiliates, our system requires a hard copy document requesting official termination of membership. It's a contractual agreement with other organizations that we're required to uphold. Which means a little more work for valued members who decide to leave us."
Organization's voices constantly point to documents in legalese and say, "Cause this thing makes us" regardless of the veracity of their claim.
If they're going to baffle us with bullshit, at least put some fucking effort in it.
I've probably skewed the stats for Brawl, City Folk and Radiant Dawn quite a bit... I have over two hundred hours logged in City Folk alone, according to the Nintendo Channel. TP and Brawl are each over one hundred, too.
No: 3 makes me think of the Avatar myspace band album cover.
No: 5 from my experience more than 50% of the player avatars actually have something that covers their eyes or their face. Seeing their eyes is pretty rare.
And the last one - why not? Really it might be cheesy, it might good. I don't get what's wrong with interacting with the 360 sphere.
@Superspecs: some of the marketing does use in-game footage. For instance the 1vs100 adverts aren't all just made by the marketing team. I believe this would encompass all that and not just posters and materials just made for the advert.
@Superspecs: If you can't make a poster with an avatar with it's eyes closed...this means we can't have sleepy avatars !!!
Sleepy avatars could be kinda cute in the correct setting =D
Sleepy avatars are than...welll....the way they just lower their heads in the dashboard is just....creepy... ._.
@Superspecs: maybe it's because I've not worked with print media in ages but generally when I read marketing notes I think of video footage which is why I thought it's a bit silly as I believe even their game adverts sort of feature some avatars blinking.

what the hell is this organization again?
I think its simple existence would be shifty and shady enough to keep me away. 10% off Amazon purchases, for nothing, at one point? Yeah, real legit.

What's wrong with wanting customization? Most Medal of Honors I have played never let me down, so deciding on customization alone as the deciding factor for this title doesn't seem as ridiculous as you are making it out to seem.
