@AlucardsQuest: Yeah, I'm a little surprised Megadeth isn't on here, they have always had a pretty good relationship with video games (Duke Nukem theme, Brutal Legend, etc)
Trivium? Killswitch Engage? NO NO NO NO. Those bands are way too wimpy and false for God of War.
They should've done more research and chosen bands that actually go with the game. Kronos, brutal death metal about Greek mythology. It makes sense, since God of War is brutal as hell and it's about Greek mythology. Maybe some epic power metal for the sake of accessibility.
Opeth and Dream Theater aren't bad though. Still, TRIVIUM?

Not that you're wrong, 'cause you're not, but bare in mind that they do want to sell this thing to the kids with the money. People who have no idea who those blokes are.
"...will feature more than just the soothing sounds of the God of War trilogy's original score."
That's sarcasm, right? All of the music from the God of War series is epic and distracting (especially when fighting through the marathon of baddies in the Loom Chamber).
@battlescarSS: I didn't find the music distracting at all. And it's fresh in my mind because I just finished the GOW Collection today. To each his own, I guess...
@Garro: No..... Linkin Park has already sunk too low with Minutes to Midnight, and the Transformers 2 remix of "What I've done". Used to love their music until they turned into....can't describe it, they're just awful now.
This is a Premium Edition that I would consider. The God of War series has a deep seeded attachment to many good memories and nights spent with friends... pulling an all nighter with my best friend, picking at some store bought pie, and trading the controller back and forth until 8 in the morning. This is how I beat the first game. Very good times indeed.
So instead of putting in an OST they'd rather get all the bands on their shitty pop label to do songs with lyrics somewhat related to the game. Real classy Sony.

And since Opeth is the greatest band of all time, I will have to aquire this music by any means necessary ....( that means downloading )

Brutal Legend had it almost right, there was a few typical boring tracks and some absolute shite, but it had angel witch so its getting there.

fuck yes. i'll buy the cd just because its gonna be epic.
Dream Theatre doing a song about GoW is crazy... i can't wait to hear what they cook up. they dont do anything that is not EPIC.

Don't care much for Taking Dawn or Killswitch Engage, but the other 3 choices are fucking awesome.
Glad I pre-ordered the collector's edition for this game.

Though with their track record, the song may be the length of the game.

On a related note, I'd love to see a second Roadrunner Records pack for Rock Band, because the first one was fantastic.
