    By mistake, it's referring to the check box that lets you cancel your subscription, correct? Because it doesn't make much sense that the box that lets you turn on subscription auto-renew was a mistake as well...?

    I don't think it would be difficult to top the Modern Warfare gameplay. Generating such a long and lavish hype train though, is another story.

    I can't seem to get into MW2, the online match-making seems heavily unbalanced (more often than not, I find myself playing in a team of level 20-30 players, facing off against a team with an average level of 50). Hopefully MoH can provide a more immersive, fair experience, that's all I really ask for when it comes to FPS'.

    As an aside, I find it more than a little strange that you can only decide to not allow clans in team death-match - a mode that I don't even play. It results in a team of top-tier players sharing a clan-tag, decimating people stuck in the sergeant rank in the other, arguably better game-modes.

    The last Medal of Honour game I played was Rising Sun back on the PS2, loved that game, hopefully this will reignite the series again.

    "The most authentic Modern War experience"? Neat, we get to hit the dirt and stay in a fetal position wishing we were back "in the world" while our friends and comrades get killed by stray sniper fire. One radio request later by our commanding officer (real war, means you got no way in hell of being more then a corporal) and a few huge explosions later, you finally get the nerve to get up, only to see a a crater where the enemy fire was comming from. Later levels will include therapy for Posttraumatic stress disorder.

    So... Iraq is too soon, Afghanistan is not?

    Considering current events, that's an ironic thought.

    Perhaps it's more that Six Days in Fallujah did not have the production support that a massive company like EA has.

    Forgive me if I'm retreading old ground - I kept my head down in the articles regarding the previous controversy. But this just seems like a head-scratcher.

    Personally, it's not something that I'm about to get fired up over - I love DICE, and hearing DICE is involved is pretty much a guaranteed 'in' for me.

    I'm just imagining the potential shower of media backlash - or surprising lack thereof.

    @The Forgetful Brain: The situation is different with the 2. If you are not familiar with why the SDIF was not acceptable or there was a huge issue with it then perhaps you should look up the information behind what went down there.

    Depending on where they set this in Afghanistan will make a difference.

    That and well people are generally idiots and will follow others like sheep just as long as someone starts baying about something (but this is more my own personal opinion)

    @The Forgetful Brain: The real problem with Six Days in Fallujah was that it was a real conflict. This Medal of Honor will be a safe, fake, general 'Desertistan' and not really get into anything that could be traced to real life.

    I still haven't bought a Konami game because they wussed out on 6DiF.

    I bought a dell mini 10v for 229 because they had the whole BLACK FRIDAY deals going last week. Anyone else have the 10v? How is it compared to other netbooks, say the EEEPCs for example? Hows the hackintosh on that thing? Thats the only reason I bought it. I have never exposed myself to the mac environment, and as a Computer Science and Engineering major, I feel I should. I think Im going to tag on ubuntu on it too so I can expose myself to linux.

    @Polterg3ist plays bass in a band: If you ever go on SlickDeals.net or CheapAssGamer, you'll likely see a forum post about these.

    I signed up for ECA when the Amazon promotion was in swing - used it on one, maybe two games before the stackers got it killed (which was a shame, because 10% on Amazon with free shipping and no tax is pretty significant).

    Apart from that, it's a little hard to see what ECA does...

    There's forums and some sort of consumer advocation but...

    It's kind of hard to see.

    @Terrorsaur - Five Six: Considering DICE is doing the multiplayer, I think we've got dedicated servers. They still look at dedicated servers as a necessity.

    @Terrorsaur - Five Six: With Dice in charge of the multiplayer, I have a good feeling that dedicated servers will be present. Dice doesn't like using anything but dedicated servers for their games as without them, there's too many limitations when designing.

    What's wrong with wanting customization? Most Medal of Honors I have played never let me down, so deciding on customization alone as the deciding factor for this title doesn't seem as ridiculous as you are making it out to seem.

    If I can mod the game to my liking...then whats stopping me from modding the game to my liking when I buy it and decide theres a few things I don't like?

    I wonder if they're really going to be able to release it in a month ... there isn't a single retailer with a listing for it. That's unusual for a game releasing so shortly.

    I'll definitely pick this one up, though.
