I mean... The Wii has really lost its flow with me.
Nintedo used to be about the games. Not gimmics for 7 year olds that get people to buy their shit.
Wheres the new NINTENDO games?
Mario Galaxy is already out.
Zelda TP is already out.
SSBB is already out.
Metroid is already out.
Nintendo keeps singing the same songs with nothing new.
Where is this awesome online I keep hearing is coming?
Mario Kart has GREAT online.... but thats it.

The "big three" are, for the most part, left to to the console - Mario, Zelda, and Metroid.
It is not a perfect analogy (WarioWare on the Wii, NSMB on the DS), but I think it goes to show that Nintendo is using its IPs ...

The primary objective of every corporation is to maximise profits (no matter what lies they feed us at press conferences). This generation Nintendo has shown it's true colors: Nintendo is a corporation.
While there are staff at Nintendo who care about making good games and the corporation would like to keep it's die-hard fans, it was clear to Nintendo before anyone else that making BS titles like Wii Sport, Wii Fit and Wii Sell Out was a much more lucrative venture than what the competition were doing.
They still release the occasional AAA title for the die-hard fans and proper gamers, but it's the BS titles targeted at the 12 years or younger and 40+ age groups that really bring in the money. Hence, All Star Cheer Squad, which Natalie (from the article) didn't like but pointed out,
