But if you did this would certainly be an option.

These NexiLux cases allow you to access all of the DSi's ports and don't increase the volume of the case noticeably. Of course they also let you change the color of your DSi. Maybe if you could get the cases with art work or patterns on them they'd be more appealing to me.

<![CDATA[A DS Case Fit For Dr. Henry Jones]]> Indy's getting old. Not as sharp as he used to be. He's making stupid decisions, like being in movies with Shia LaBeouf. Maybe all he needs, though, is a little Brain Training.

It should keep the old grey matter from getting all foggy. But that, then, creates another problem: how to go adventuring through rainforests and ancient temples and Nazi-infested deserts cradling a small piece of consumer electronics?

He could do it with this, an oiled leather DS case. It's splash-proof, it's rugged, he can clip it on his belt next to his gun holster and it'll look like it belongs. Whether the smaller game cases will look so natural strapped to his leg is another matter.

<![CDATA[The LCD-Packing Xbox 360 Briefcase]]> You see before you an Xbox 360 modded to fit snuggly into a watertight, dust proof and crushproof Pelican case.

This latest Ben Heck hack features a 17-inch LCD monitor, built in speakers, a nifty power cable compartment, top-loading DVD drive, removable hard drive and Ethernet and USB ports.

Heck says he built this beautiful bit of gaming because he's had a lot of requests from servicemen and women. The gaming football is also not taken, so it sounds like Heck is willing to part with it for a price. In fact it sounds like he's looking for someone (cough)Pelican(cough) who might be interested in mass producing these bad boys.

Now for how he did it.

<![CDATA[Talismoon's Shiny Wii Cases]]> What's a warranty when your Wii could be this freaking pretty? Talismoon has released their Evolve series of replacement cases for the Wii, and my great love of shiny things throbbing as I flip through the gallery below. Judging from the look the cases they fall into the "easy unless you're stupid" category of system mods, even including a fully-assembled front panel so you don't have to fiddle with buttons falling out all over the place. The $39.99 Evolve cases come in 8 delicious flavors: Abyss Blade, Black Katana, Blue Bushido, Green Tanto, Pink Geisha, Red Ronin (of course), Silver Shuriken, and Stealth Assassin. I'm trying to figure out what their theme is, but for the life of me it keeps escaping me. All I know is my Wii warranty is up in two months, and I'm a sucker for a chrome finish. Hit up the Talismoon webpage for more details.

<![CDATA[Crafty Needlepoint DS Case]]>

I'm always envious when people show off their really cool game related objects that their partners make for them be it cakes, crafts and other objet d'art. My ex's hatred of video games knew no boundaries and I probably would have received a million dollar check for my birthday before anything game related. So I will sit here and seethe with jealousy over Lauren's sweet Earthbound DS case, lovingly handcrafted in the lost art of needlepoint. The recipient of this awesome gift was her fianc on the occasion of the Baby Jebus' birthday. Congratulations, man, you've got yourself a keeper.

<![CDATA[Nerf DS Lite Case]]>

GameStop has these multi-colored Nerf DS Lite armors for pre-order in pink, blue, black and green for only $12.99. However, just because you order it early with cold, hard cash doesn't give you the right to choose whatever color you want. All cases will be shipped out randomly, because (as we all know) most video game customers don't have any sense of individual taste. We enjoy taking what we can get (why, that in itself is a game - how festive!).

Also, notice how thee is no mention of the availability of the color orange, although one obviously exists. Could GameStop be picking out all the orange cases like I selfishly used to pick out the marshmallow bits out of Lucky Charms?

<![CDATA[The Halo 3 Xbox 360 Case Mod]]>

While this isn't exactly my style, I do appreciate the incredible paint job on this Premium 360 done by artist, Jeremiah Thiring. Jeremy's other work on PC cases was recently featured on the covers of several PC related magazines. Now he's expanding into custom painted video game systems and this is one of his first.

This one of a kind "MASTER CHIEF" Xbox 360 is completely hand airbrushed! (No photo Prints or Stickers Here Folks!) Not only does this 360 Depict Detailed Master Chief and engraved water filled "3" murals, It has a realistic stone effect and water drops that look like you could wipe them off!! As with all of our systems... Both of the wireless controllers have also been wrapped in 360 degrees of matching art!

Engraved water filled murals? Damn! The master chief portrait is impeccable, but I'm not sold on all those water droplets. They're extremely well done, but on the controllers it just looks kind of crusty, but that could just be the photograph.

This little beauty can be yours for $925 plus shipping and includes two wireless controllers, a game and all the necessary cables. More pics after the jump.

<![CDATA[Case Shot of PS3's Sonic the Hedgehog]]> sonicbr.jpg

PS3 Fanboy snagged a shot of a genuine Playstation 3 game in the wild. The image shows Sonic the Hedgehog for the PS3 clothed in it's freshly printed, blue-capped case. It makes sense that as we approach the official launch date for the console more of these will be getting out.

<![CDATA[Another Mario DS Hat Pouch!]]>

As a man who is unafraid to visit the haberdasher looking to sport new pink-ribboned bowler in my pursuit of a dandyesque fashion paradigm, this Super Mario Hat DS Lite carrying case has my cranium tingling with the anticipation of its sweet caress.

Unfortunately, it's for Japanese Club Nintendo Members only, meaning that Ashcraft will once again soundly trounce me in the annual 'Best Dressed Kotaku Staffer' competition.

<![CDATA[Infrared Imaging Reveals PC Case Flaws]]>

UK mag Custom PC used a 30,000 infrared digital camera and testing chamber from Intel to determine the effect PC designs have on component temperatures.

While I haven't seen the article, the press release says that they were able to discover some interesting things. For insteance, harddrives that are mounted sideways don't cool sufficiently. In one case, the temperature of the hard drive was just three degrees below the breakdown temperature.

The article includes detailed reviews and infrared imaging from seven cases. The issue is set to hit later this week in the UK. Brilliant idea.

<![CDATA[The PSP Invisible Shield]]> invisibleshielf.jpg

The Invisible Shield is the most understated case for the Playstation Portable to date. The case is a transparent piece of plastic that snaps over the front and top of PSP while leaving the buttons and control pad exposed. I still haven't purchased a case for my PSP, I can't decide which to get. Maybe something like this is the best idea. Is anyone else out there looking for a case still?

<![CDATA[iSkin's PSP Case, Too Sexy for Your Tech]]> dankpspcase.jpg

My PSP would love me even more if I replaced the Sony default foam pouch of pray-it-never-falls-from-more-than-seven-inches with this lambskin case from iSkin. Hell, the thing has a kickstand, it's like a scooter, without wheels an engine and made of lambskin. I don't see handlebars either. Fifty bones and it's yours.
